DDR Metal Pad

i have bought many ddr pads in the past and everyone of them has broken so far. So, i have decided to buy a metal one, and i need some help. I am willing to spend about 200 dollars on a metal pad (not icluding shipping) and with that kind of cash, which is the most durable and has the best quality. I don't want to buy another pad that is going to break so please help me

If you want a *cheap* metal pad, then I recomend the Intec metal pad w/ Xbox & PSX/2 controller support. No bar, one large surface good for being able to slide around (you, not the pad) and should last you a while, I haven't had a problem with it yet... except too much abuse intentional or not will result in cracking. :-(

The best by far though when it comes to metal pads is the Cobalt Flux - I will be buying one after working this summer.

Expensive, but the most arcade-like before you go into making your own.

its only $85 here though.

heres what im doing. I have this plan. Right now, i use a modded konami soft pad which is ok but not exactly the most accurate and best thing to play on. SO, i'm working on making a cheap home made pad(not made out of metal, see homebrew ghetto pad and thats the type of thing im making) and if that goes great i might try making a metal pad later on. But if it doesn't, im saving up for a metal pad(probably a cobalt flux, blueshark GXG or afterburner, depending on how urgent it is). I also want to here more about these solomode 2200 pads....they look very nice. And theyre cheaper than the cobalt flux and GXG and have a bar. Tell me about the pad when you get it!

Side Note: I had this pad (if it is what I think it is), and the rubber stoppers on the bottom will leave your floor with black imprinted dots all over. Plus, the screws fall out quite easily. Other than that, $70 is cheap for those. Mine cost $130 from ebay where I bought them. I wouldn't trust ebay. One of those pads that I bought from ebay was broken, and the seller made me pay shipping twice again (ship to and back) for a new pad.

Yea, the MT6's. Those are the ones I trashed in a few months. Pretty good though for the price. I didn't know what they were called though.

well iv been doing quite a few savings. right now i have $110

and im aiming for a CF...$190 to go. i give up on the idea of cheap pads...id want one thatll last a good amount of time. right now i threw away my "datel" universal dance pad (pad with the poor censors)
and replaced it with the official Konami Pad. (a friend of mine let me borrow it until i save up for a CF, that friend of mine felt sorry for me that i had to endure DDR with such an embarassing pad with poor censors *sigh*) the Konami Pad is good, and is more efficient. songs that i used to get "C"s on, i get "B"s, and those that i get "B"s on i get "A"s, etc.
But the pad lacks one thing...uber fast censor-readings. id need a metal pad for that kind of quality. i was doing MaxX Unlimited on Standard, and during the part with all those jump arrows, the konami pad couldnt read the speed of my feet (or so i think). well i jus wanna kno if there are any pads that are cheaper, but better than a CF

My BNSUSA pad that I got off of ebay for about $150 last year just gave out so I'm in the market again
(increased use in the last month and a ****ing hard sharp stomper caused 3 of the four arrows to crack badly and the metal brackets to come up/the wood to wear away)

Just thought I'd point out that those Ninja pads are going much cheaper on ebay. $90 for a single and $150 for two pads. That's under $100 per pad, I'd say. Normally I'd say they're fake, but there's so many people selling the same pad for the same price it sounds fairly safe.
Ninja pads on DDR

The BNSUSA Fusion ones look good.... It's much different looking from the BNSUSA pad I have. Apart from breaking down now (after being owned for about a year, which isn't bad) I'd have to say that my BNSUSA pad was pretty good. Although I did do a sheet metal mod to help it out a bit

Are there any metal pads out there that USB connections? PS2 > USB Adapters are mostly poopy and laggy... If there's a metal pad with USB built in it would be great.

Ok so I've decided to buy a metal pad i have about 230$ saved in the bank. I want either a DDRGame pad or a Ninja. Id REALLY like a DDRGame Ion Metal Pad
But whatever pad I decide on, alot of people talked about modding a pad they bought to increase the life span, now how the hell do I do that??

I am saving up for a metal pad ($101 so far) that will hopefully last me a good long time...I was looking at the DDRGame pads and wanted to know if anyone had any experience with these because the last thing I want to do is blow $200 on a pad that is gonna break on me in a matter of weeks.

I've been playing 9s, and it works just fine. I think its probably just the 320 bpm

Shipping for a ninja metal pad is 62.5$ and its cost is 80$ so its $142.50

How good are these Ninja pads anyways?

You can buy a redoctane ignition for a VERY VERY LOW PRICE. I have bought quite of few of them, and the price range is 15-30$, after including shipping costs. Most of them come in like new condition. I got a new (or it looked new at least) RO igntion for $.99, with $14 shipping for a friend

They come in such good condition because its usually some company that gets large quantities of these pads because they werent sold or were returns.

They do work in general. Ive bought 3 ignition 2.0s and 2 ignition 3.0s, one of the 2.0s was in bad condition, the rest were like new.

Drawback: they may not have the xbox or usb cable, so read carefully
