Ok, I just got my Magic Swap Disk in the mail today, and I put it in and everything. And then I tried to take it out and put the JPN game in, and then I unscrewed a screw to make my slide card work, and then it all got jammed up and it won't close. What should I do? _________________

you are probably just doing it wrong. that's what happens with slide cards... you should try to find an instruction video online. remember... the slide card is like a hook |

Well, my PS2 is nuked now so I gotta get a new one. Is it easier to use on a slim PS2? _________________

the Slims require less of a mod than the regular ps2's. U just have to cover up the button that says the door is open and some other small mods... look it up. its easy _________________

How is it nuked? Are you sure you didn't read the instructions carefully? I have been using a slide card for about a year now, and I haven't ever had a problem with it. =\ |

It's not "nuked". You can fix it easily, though, I can't give exact instructions on how to fix it without seeing what the problem is, I highly doubt it's totally destroyed. |

Haha, alright, I got it working, but the thin ribbon connecting the Reset/Eject button to the PS2 is broken and I don't know where to hook it back on to. _________________

Is it broken (like the ribbon tore in two) or did it just disconnect (there's a little connector on the end that came out from the PS2)?
If it's broken...you're screwed.
If it disconnected then that's an easy fix.
The connector pin goes into a little port under the right side of the disc drive. It's really hard to get to without taking the disc drive out of the PS2, but it's doable. You'll just need a pair of needle nose pliers and a steady hand. I've had to do that before while helping a friend with his modded PS2. _________________

It took me awhile to try to connect my ribbon back in when it fell out. I don't remember exactly how off the top of my head, but if I can get around to it, I'll take pictures step by step how to put it back in.
But it involved taking off the bottom part of the ps2, removing a metal cage looking area, unscewing a few more screws to be able to get to the connecting port a bit easier, and just sliding it back in. It's not too hard to figure out, just look around a bit. |

oh crap. I was playing BM US and then decided that I wanted to play a burnt copy of a game. So i turned off hte ps, put in the trigger disc, launched cogswap, put in the regular game, pushed x, and then when i went and slid the pin over the pin won't go back and i can't get the tray open. I got the disc out by opening the ps2 but now it won't turn on. Can someone please help? It's my family's ps2 and if it's dead, I either have to lie or I'm screwed.
