But everyone knows you're basically always wrong about this kind of stuff, so they don't ask you.

A Beautiful Collision,

HVAM and Cartoon Heroes are loads harder than Sakura. Sakura has a few eighth note streams at 300 BPM. So what? Is that supposed to intimidate people, causing them to think the song is more of a 10? Just because Sakura is 300 BPM doesn't mean it's steps are faster. Cartoon Heroes may have less BPM, but the steps are still much faster. And the slowdowns/speedups in Sakura aren't tricky or hard in the least bit.

And just a suggestion: Fix your grammar. Your misuse of the different forms of there/their/they're and your/you're hurt my eyes.

I can pass Sakura and Bag, which makes them easy for 10 footers because I can't touch the others. That might also have to do with the fact that Sakura is one of my favs and I have no troubles reading slow songs, but I'm pretty sure they're jsut on the easy side of 10 footers.

Run DMC says: It's like that, and that's the way it is.

I have a far better HVAM score than I do on Sakura. HVAM is just a lot of 1/8 notes. Sakura has a lot of stupid BPM changes and a lot of notes that are just plain off. HVAM may be harder to BS through your first time, but that's pretty irrelevant because if you're BSing a song, you're getting a bad score, so no one is caring.

Hvam is not a hard song once you've played it through a couple times, well, unless you suck at double stepping.

I'd say that there are no 9's that deserve to be 10's.
Sakura, should be a 9.
Also, this may be a little retro, but Dam Dariram(KCP mix) should be a hard 8, not a 7.

HVAM to me seems more like the "see how long you can keep up a steady, decently fast speed" kinda song, with double steps/spins everywhere. actually quite fun to play...especially without a bar.

come on, you know better syn. he's obvious talking about how hard hvam is to *pass* compared to sakura, which evidently matters to the hordes of players that ask questions about borderline 9/10 footers.

I did include that part in my post, didn't I? I mean, I don't have that great a memory, so I might've forgotten to put it in.

let me make myself clearer

Quote:

is positioned as a refutation to gotacoolname's argument that hvam is harder than sakura. however, this is NOT a refutation; you're talking about entirely different things, and it's dishonest to pose your comment like that. even if you do later add:

Quote:
HVAM may be harder to BS through your first time

you still don't make it clear that you are not refuting his argument, but that you agree with it, and that you are adding a new piece of information.

I have a far better score on HVAM than I do on Sakura as well. But HVAM is much harder to pass for players new to the more difficult side of DDR. This thread has been mostly a discussion about Sakura being too hard to be a 9/too easy to be a 10, with the main reason behind (most of) our points being how hard the song is to pass.

Besides, even if a lot of people do find HVAM easier, Cartoon Heroes is still much harder than Sakura, in terms of both passing and scoring.
