Well. 4 Hours daily, every day in the week? Or 4 hours daily, once or twice a week? If you play at least 20hrs a week, I'd reccomend a cheap metal pad at first.

Don't forget, you're trying to lose weight as well, flail.

I'm just curious on how you can afford this. I would love to try this out so I can build up my stanima but the price tag sounds a bit iff for my wallet's sake.

My suggestion is that since you'll be hanging around the arcade a little bit more make friends with the DDR players there and ask if you can shadow them. You can get a few free songs in and all you need to do is hit the arrows with your feet and not pass the song.

A DDR Diet isn't really expensive...you just play ddr at home and try to lose weight. That's basically all it is..Honestly it doesn't matter what kind of pad you have as long as you get some exercise.

EDIT:Oh and I guess it would help to eat better too.

I kind of inadvertently did this the summer I first started playing. I think it would help a lot if you set game-goals for yourself to start off with (e.g., I'm going to play 12 songs straight on heavy and get B's or better -or- play workout mode and set a reasonable but challenging average for your kcal count) rather than regimenting yourself with the 4 hours a day and so on. Eating better will only increase the amount of a workout your body can reasonably handle so that's always a good idea. I personally found playing workout mode from Konamix with it on continuous play really helpful.

Eating small meals throughout the day will help keep your metabolism working constantly rather than in spurts, and (correct me if I'm wrong) so will playing DDR throughout the day rather than just in one incredibly long session.

I played workout mode, heavy, on Konamix for 2 hours straight and didn't fail a song, my goal being to keep my kcal count at an average of 10 kcal per minute or 20 per song with my weight input at 128 lbs.

Hope I'm not pointing out things that are too obvious or whatnot! biggrin.gif
