First of all I was 5'8 and 285lbs
Right now I am 5'8 and 270lbs

I gave up soda, I stopped eating as much, down to very little a day

I do about 10-25 standard DDR songs a day (5 step - 8 step songs)

Any help?
Advice?
Comments?

I'm new to the DDR workout and any help would be greatly appreciated

1. Move up to heavy as soon as you can, as this is of course more challenging and calorie-burning.

2. Do NOT play like the PAers. If you're trying to loose weight, you WANT to waste energy. Play flailing around, lifting your feet off the ground, etc. This burns much more than simply moving slightly.

3. Enjoy yourself: DDR is a fun way to get fit.

Watch what you eat and play for an hour or more EVERY day. I lost two dress sizes last summer by doing that,

Rather than eating less, try eating better, I think. And yes, getting up to heavy would be better... whatever you try's good as long as it's not really easy.

You should constantly play 180+ BPM songs and if possible, on heavy.

Eat a lot of fruits such as Bananas and Apples. They have natural sugars to give you energy, have juice to keep you hydrated, and fill your stomach. Also, play endless mode. It'll go as long as you can, and is quicker than spending most your time picking a song. This way, you're getting a pretty good workout with standard songs, and you can exclude songs that are too hard or irritating.

I'm going to have to tell you that its not going to be as dependent of the style of ddr that you play as it is the change in your diet that you make. The most important thing for you to do is eat small meals at regular intervals throughout the day and to remain active whether its through ddr or any type of activity. Good luck. Yeah I eat alot of Bananas, My parents think I'm a monkey LOL.

As for apples... I don't like the taste . Red apples and those Grand apples(Green one).

My cousin called my diet long time ago : DDR Diet.

I called it : My Revolutionary Weight Loss Program.

I dont use Workout mode.

I used too but I use Aracade/Game Mode. Unless you want to keep track of your diet.

I'm trying to go on the DDR Diet too, but I have a crappy dance pad. Should I think of getting a metal one such as a RO or CF?

Tape it down. I mean, chances are you can get a hard pad off of eBay cheap, but don't commit to it unless you really want one.
