Hi all, I'm looking to buy a cobalt flux.
Pretty much everyone agrees that the cf is really durable, so it would seem to me that it would be pretty safe to buy one on ebay. They're sorta cheaper, and plus no waiting time!
Of course, I'm sure a lot will depend on the seller taking care of the thing, but generally speaking, would you say it's safe to buy a cobalt flux on ebay?
I'd like to hear from people who have bought one on ebay, or at least bought one used. _________________

I bought one off Ebay but I cheated a little. I stumbled across an auction by someone in Salt Lake City and after looking at all the different auctions the guy had, it was pretty obvious he worked for CF or had ties with them somehow. My pad showed up in an official CF box and was in excellent condition. A friend of mine bought two from the same guy that the corners were slightly cracked on for a steal..
The sellers name is CarpenterSteel.. He doesnt seem to have anything for sale right now tho. |

Yeah, that's the one I saw today. They look like they're typically going for around $220, which is considerably less than retail. Hopefully no one from the forum steals my cf! _________________

It's still in froinlaven's post because he quoted you. And it's up to $242.50 already; I don't think it's going to be much of a bargain for whoever gets it. _________________

Heh, that's okay, there's no way of telling whether the pad would've been bid that high if you hadn't put that link there.
I guess I'll have to wait and see if another one shows up... _________________
