So, what quadstars should I get today? I was thinking Hybrid. I have 47 excellents on it, but all of them were pad except one, so right now I have a 99.97%. Do you think i can do it?! _________________

Was the non pad excellent in the hands at the end because they don't count
So if it was in the hands you should have 100 right now |

Pandemonium for sure. I mean come on, everyone knows that pad non-fantastics are the name of the game in that song too. Even with failing i recalced to like 99.4 or something so you could 100% it easily _________________

Back on a more legit note, I passed Bloodrush and Determinator for the first time. I have now passed all the 12's.
I did however pass those 2 on Stepmania with arcade timings. (pad of course) If someone says that doesn't count, meh, than I guess I haven't even passed VerTex, Delirium, Euphoria, Tell, and HotN because I did those on home version
Still, I'm not content. Only 3 more songs to pass, the end is in sight. I can make it to the bassrush in Vertex^2, the final streams of Summer, and the second double tappy freezy section of Pandy.
So, I guess Summer is my song. I'll keep you posted. _________________

Today was a beautiful day to play some ITG PS2. As a human, ITG PS2 is the best part of my day indeed.
Anyway, something odd happened with my attempts to play Party Intense today. I couldn't get past The Game. No, I don't mean I failed, I mean the game simply refused to do anything after it got through The Game. It just kind of hung there at the end of the song. And yes, I'm aware the load times are unbearable, but this went beyond even that to "Okay, there's actually a problem here" levels.
Oh well. Other notes:
-Yes, Flip IS as hard to learn as everyone says it is. My 2.55% (Or something stupidly low like that) on Land of the Rising Sun Hard was all the proof I needed of that.
-You may be aware of my 5.11% on Pandy Expert that's on Groovestats. Funny thing, I haven't even come close to matching that after several basically serious attempts (Meaning "as seriously as someone who hasn't even done all the 10s yet can try Pandy Expert"). Silly me.
-1X Float still = , although I did get through it this time on a different marathon.
-I like the firmer surface of actually playing basically ON A FLOOR as opposed to a rug. It's pretty much entirely cut out the pad BS I would occasionally experience prior to this, which is definitely worth the tradeoff of a smaller TV.
Onto the scores.
First, a random picture where my Peak Combo is exactly 1000. It wasn't a record for me or anything, but I thought it was kind of cool since I didn't attempt to set it up that way in advance.
Marathon:
Bounce (Intense)- 85.11
And songs:
DJ Party (Hard)- 93.05
Drifting Away (Hard)- 93.44
Lemmings on the Run (Expert)- 88.42. Not quite a 90, but I'll definitely take it given my previous difficulty with scoring this song. I also note that flatfooting helped me a lot here, if for no other reason than quickly shuffling my feet back to the center seems to yield better results than actually trying to jump/lift my feet way up to avoid mines, and since flatfooting has me naturally closer to the center....you figure it out.
Lemmings on the Run (Hard)- 95.37
Mythology (Hard)- 89.63. Close to the 90, though I don't remember any one particular thing I did wrong that kept me from it. Overall execution I guess.
Pandemonium (Medium)- 92.56. Yeah!
The Game (Expert)- 85.42. Small improvement, but better than none.
Torn (Hard)- 93.68
Tough Enough (Expert)- 91.84. *handclap*
Wake Up (Expert)- 83.60
Land of the Rising Sun (Hard)- 96.34. Improvement of a star I already had.
Stars/Stuff I'm proud of:
Medium ** #5:
#6:
And after many cumulative attempts, I FINALLY nailed something I had been trying to do for awhile now. I figured out that my problem was only partially (If at all) my pad; I was actually lifting my wrong leg at points, which would result in a dropped hold and 3 misses every time I did it. In spite of that, though, I survived to get:
(ITG 10 #4, and #8 overall)
"....But Emptyeye! What happened to double-star #4?!" Well, you may recall that my Bubble Dancer Hard score was higher than my Medium one. As my Hard score stands at 97.98, that basically meant I needed to double-star it on Medium in order to set things right.
I did. And then some.
Medium ** #4, AND my first tri-star on Medium or ANY difficulty:
Yeah, it's not a *** on Vertex Expert, but I'm freaking proud regardless. Between that and my pass of Vertex Hard, this is probably the best I've ever felt accomplishment-wise.
And I believe The Unofficial Ninety-the-Nines Challenge stands at 13/43 complete, but I'll edit if that's wrong. _________________

As opposed to what, a raccoon?
I beat Tribal Style on shuffle. Talk about absolutely BS footwork, but of course it was shuffle. No where near as impressive as my LoM shuffle pass.
I should start playing songs with add mines to get semi-used to Vertex2's major minefield at the end which hands me my head. _________________

Add mines won't help you with that. All it does is replace some arrows with mines. _________________

What would work better is to put the v2 steps in a slower song. _________________

Or to play Vertex2 on Stepmania at a slower speed which is what I'm doing. I can consistantly pass the song on x0.8 And I lamed my way through x0.9 once, so I think I'll get this decently soon. I should focus on Summer though because I'm really close to beating it (final stream), but I think the idea of passing Vertex2 is very attractive to me. _________________

Haha, now watch as, like, no one gets the reference. That is the best webcomic ever.
Emptyeye is has gained 10% on my cool rating of him, leaving him at 10%.

Agreed, but not when my head starts getting in way of the arrows. _________________
