Arrgh, I'm in desperate need for ITG 2 CS so I can practice !, Robotix, Summer ~Speedy Mix~, etc. Roxor can't just be holding it until 2007 or even late 2006 for that matter. _________________

Did they even show ITG2 at E3 this year?
If not, what's the point of annoucing this from the start?
Let see, Konami annouce the new ddr arcade at the same time and we hear news about it and they released the arcade version already. They even annouce the home version.
My point is, WHERE IS ITG2 released datefor the console and ITG3 arcade released?
Konami at least give us news about their game. Roxtor, hurry up... We dont have all day!
I guess ITG Fan will be gone for now. |

My question is why would we HAVE to wait past Mid-June or July to get ITG2 CS. Really is it more complicated than putting on a disk and publishing? I was under the impression that ITG1 was pretty much the arcade version ported to a PS2 compatible disk. I was also under the impression this is how ITG2 was being handled. Someone please tell me if I'm wrong. But if this IS the case, then could it possibly be problems with Red Octane and distribution? |

A few things:
We've got people throwing around all these various release dates for the two games, ranging from August to 2007. These all seem to be conjecture, as thus far NO ONE has pointed out anything resembling an official source for any of them. Someone mentioned an ITG3 being the grand prize at Worlds....but that means nothing to me. Why? To my knowledge, LilQ still hasn't even gotten his ITG2 machine (And that was RELEASED at the time, since you know, it was the ITG2 NATIONALS that he won it at; note that his multple accounts on ITGfreak make it difficult for me to confirm this) yet. In other words, just because ITG3 cabs are the grand prize at Worlds, that doesn't mean they'll be given out right then and there. _________________

anyone remember how buggy and how slow ITGps2 was???? and it is harder than putting it on a CD guys... comeon... give roxor more credit than just pressing the burn button. I'm sure they want to make a more finished product that the DDR community wont complain every 3 mins that they have to wait 20 sec for their dang game to load _________________

It would be sad if ITG3 came out 2007 and not this year.
Same with ITG2 for home version.
I didn't like the loading on ITG1 at the arcade. Took 1min to load.
Like I said, what's the point of annoucing is some of you clam that ITG2 home version will be out next year?
Some of you said that ITG3 and ITG2 for home version will be out Aug of this year.
I hope this true. |

But they still do have the game already. Sure they have to work out a little bit so it will work and work well on the PS2, but that shouldn't be TOO hard. That's why I'm thinking its mroe of a publishing problem or they said "Screw ITG2, we're spending all of our time on GH2!!!" |

You do realize you basically just said "Either it's a publishing problem or it's a publishing problem", right? Roxor can't be spending their time on GH2, because they didn't develop the first one, Harmonix did (They also developed Amplitude and the Karaoke Revolution games). The only "they" you could be refering to in that sentence is the publisher (RedOctane, or whatever's left of them after Activision bought them), since that's the only element the first games of each series had in common.
But then, I'm a prick and enjoy arguing semantics for its own sake. _________________

Maybe it's because Roxor's indirectly doing beta testing for ITG2PS2 via the ITG1PC demo betas (especially for interface issues, like overlapping text and such). Maybe. _________________

Actually, don't expect ITG2 PS2 till ... 3rd quarter maybe. Roxor Games' ITG2 arcade is still growing; in fact in some ways it is just starting to flourish in popularity (e.g. dedicabs in Europe), so why should they sabotage themselves by releasing ITG3 arcade before ITG2 has maximized its profit?
ITG2 PS2, if released too early, might send arcade owners the message that ITG2 isn't that new anymore (if the home version's already out) so people would stay home to play instead, and the arcades would wait for ITG3 to buy ITG.
It's a matter of maximizing profit from each individual product, that's all.
On the other hand, I am guessing that ITG PC/Mac will be out by this summer (hopefully) because it makes much more sense given Roxor's current position. It's like ITG PS2, but prettier, has better graphics, more songs, content update (!! ), etc. And it supports edits "OFFICIALLY," opening up the creation of edits to the average ITG player and not only one who is familiar with StepMania.
Although I really want to see ITG2 PS2 myself as well, I don't see it happening till later in the year. :\ |
