The best BPM is about 150, but if i'm feeling good, i play above 200. If i'm not feelin' good.......i still play above 200. anything above 2000 is not so fun (play MAX 300 on 8x speed and you'll see what i mean)

I like 170 - 320. I will play songs slower if they're good. Take Dead End for example. I really like that song.

I like good slow songs.

That's why I listen to classical music. Need something that's deep, stoic, and slow.

So for me 110 and below works, but officially, DDR doesn't really offer good slow songs. That's why it's good to have stepmania.

Yeah, I use 3x on everything on DDR songs below 160(480), but 200(600) for ITG.

Nice to know people are interpreting this as a reading speed thread, when we're talking the actual song itself.

I know a few other people said around 170 BPM, which is where the speedy mixes lie. For those people, you probably like speedy mix songs. Do you also like the regular versions of the songs?

I use speed mods to make all my songs as close to 300 - 350 BPM as possible. For example, if I were playing a 150 BPM song, I'd use x2 to make it 300 BPM. If it was 100 BPM, I'd use x3.

My wife is in the 160-190 range at 1x

I'm most comfortable 130-170 at 1x, though I am able to do Drop Out Std for example, but that's primarily because the steps are easy.

I never use speed mods for DDR, but my favorite BPM is around 190 or so. Anything Paranoia-ish (including the Survivors and Respect, despite their speeds).

ITG and PIU are different stories... I always need speed mods for those, whenever the BPM is below 200 or so.

In general, though, my most comfortable BPM is 190-200.

i generally like 160-333(LoM), but i do like a few slower songs, But if i had to choose a song only based on BPM, it would be around 190-200

(P.S.- i do realize i did bump the thread, but it's better than creating a new one)
