Just out of curiousity, has anyone here ever had any problems with RedOctane? Not pad wise. I mean as in ordering pads, requesting a certain way of mailing whatever you order, pay for it, then they tell you they can't ship the product(s) you ordered, but STILL charge you the shipping fee?
I had ordered 2 Afterburner pads at the beginning of this week, told them I wanted it shipped overnight, okay'd everything, got the confirmation email, but didn't find out till later they called the wrong person, saying they couldn't ship the pads out until tomorrow. But we still would have been charged the shipping fee for the overnight option.
This was not okay because these pads were needed for a carnival that's going on right now as I type, which is the reason why I had told them send it over night.
Has anyone else EVER had any troubles with Redoctane before?

Yes. They're incompetant and don't give a damn about customer satisfaction. When I ordered my Ignition it was terrible, their customer support is abyssmal at best. Once they have your money in their pocket they don't care about you anymore. Sorry to hear you got screwed. _________________

They did the same to me. I ordered 2 converters overnight, they didnt ship them for 2 days then Fedex proceeded to not deliver them for 5 but I got charged for overnight.
They did credit me back however since in the end, Fedex screwed up worse than they did. |

It makes me wonder then why they offer the overnight shipping option with Fedex if they tend to have problems with it.
Anyone know of any other company that makes good metal pads?
Oh, and this was being purchased with a company credit card, to be used for our annual carnival. Because RedOctane was going to screw us so badly, and ship the pads SO freaking late, the person in charge of the company card canceled the order. So no money was lost, but still. Customer service when one is spending a LOT of money, or just spending money PERIOD, should be all about the customer and what they want, and how they order something. Don't go about telling your customers one thing, then doing another.

I have 2 ignition 2.0s and once they actually arrived, they were very good pads. Not a problem with them yet (and I've had them for about 6 months or so) _________________

I've had an Ignition 2.0 for about two years now, and I've had no problems (Cept for my down arrow sometimes, but that's because of the way I store it - upright. Store it flat if you can.) But I bought mine in-store at a Gamestop. |

I wouldn't even bother odering anything from RO again. I got an Ignition 2.0 last year and it broke in a matter of three months, then just recently I got a 3.0 and it broke in about 3 weeks...wtf I've had $20 mats last longer than that.
Save your money, it isn't worth the aggravation. _________________
