Strange bug in SM

Ok, basically I'm playing Stepmaina of of a USB flash drive. It runs well 99% of the time, but ocasionally I get a bug. If I have a long combo (say 200+) and I miss a note, the screen suddenly flashes grey for a split second. Then, at the end of the songs, it says I failed, even if I get around 85% and I obviously didn't fail.

Anyone have a simmilar occurence?

Update: It does it playing directly off my computer too. I don't want to report it as a game bug because I'm not entirely sure it is, or what to report for that matter.

I'm using SM 3.9 latest build, In The Groove 2 skin from StepMania Things, and it has occured playing at least 6 different songs.

I've also included an image of the results screen after the error:

Use that skin, more updated than the In The Groove 2 skin you're using. And the version avaliable on the website is better than 3.9. It maybe be beta but it performs exceptionally well!

I'm not sure what you mean by your last sentence, but I'm not using 4.0

Edit: Yes, this theme does not work with StepMania 3.9. I do not wish to use 4.0 because it is still way too buggy.

This one works with the theme (the version there is 3.95) avaliable and its actually better than 3.9 in that it has more features, more support than 3.9, and more stable than 3.9
