DEAR GOD NO! WHY?!?!?!? I'm all for new players (gotta keep the game alive somehow, right?), but dear god in heaven, this is the single worst idea since i thought it'd be cool to play with fire. I DON'T HAVE ARMS ANYMORE!

ARGH!!!!!! I JUST PICTURE FRIEKEN YU-GI-OH ONLY WITH DDR! THIS DOES NOT MAKE A GAME LOOK COOLER KONAMI! BAD MOVE BAD MOVE BAD MOVE BAD MOVE!

What dialogue from the show should look like:

Generic anime character #1: Ha ha ha ha! I challenge you to Can't Stop Fallin' In Love.... SPEED MIX!!!!!!!!!
Generic anime character #2: Oh no! That song has a BPM over 170 and my grandfather, who's dying wish it was for me to become the best arcade DDR player in history, told me to not go over 130 BPM for the first four years of this crappy show!
Generic girl anime character #1: Oh no! Not only is it one of the fastest songs known to man, BUT ITS ON STANDARD!!!!

I wish things i loved wouldnt become a fad. There's no emoticon for how i feel.

Okay...obviously I'm not getting something. I'm not counting on seeing Butterfly being one of the performing songs here: that's already been covered by yyr. What else is the problem with what sounds like a combination of American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, and Moolah Beach?

BTW: QFE is Quoted for Emphasis.

In Dance Revolution, 'tweens' and teens bring their freshest moves to this sensational new dance competition where teams of dancers display their innovative routines. Hosted by the charismatic Dance Revolution house band, kid-friendly judges determine the winners as the dancers perform their routines to the cool sounds of the band. Dance Revolution will also offer onscreen visuals that constantly encourage viewer participation by demonstrating specific dance moves and steps.

That is what they mean by PEOPLE WONT BE PLAYING DDR

sounds like a gay houseband that is playing ddr tracks while stupid 10 y/o kids dance around like a bunch of idiots..... idk i hope they incorporate a pad or somekind.

I dont think any of us know for sure what it will be like so we should probably stop forming opions, and that includes me.

So in my dome right now, I'm imagining 12-15 year olds dancing around (forget the pad; possible freestyle/real dance moves?) to some band playing on a stage that's busting out Bumble Bee (IF they're that cool).

Hmmm.. erm.gif goog.gif

Well there has to be at least ONE fine chick who isn't jailbait laugh.gif

Anyway, it'll probably be like a kids version of that show Dance 360... and if you follow the link you'll know what happened to the show... and for a good reason... laugh.gif "Tag 'em in! Tag 'em in! Tag 'em in! HEAD TO HEAD! HEAD TO HEAD! BUTT TO FACE! BUTT TO FACE!"

why make a deal with konami if there game isn't even going to be featured? I mean, you could just have generic dance music.

I think they have to at least associate something more than just the music, otherwise they wouldn't have gone through the "Hassle" (It's konami you know) and would have selected random trance/dance music and done the same thing.

I can't wait to get my JSB and Lil Q action figures, with real bending legs!

I'll end up watching the season opener like most of you, but the audience among kids will probably be mostly teenage girls because A. more teenage girls buy DDR than boys (I work at toys r us Rzone, TRUST ME on that) and B. all the boys are watching TMNT, Sonic X, Yugioh, Pokemon, and all that other stuff...

I can't see it going very far, but who knows... I thought 10K commotion was excellent (did it ever end? I can't remember...)

Who knows, its to soon to tell EXACTLY what its going to be about, we'll just have to wait until that news comes out...

in the meantime lets start getting excited for supernova again happy.gif

<3 can't wait to play honey punch, Kiseki, and Morning Glory. (peace is alright too)

Ah, so what my friend told me in an email wasn't an evil lie. It was the evil truth, and there really is going to be a DDR show. Wow.

So...who do they think this is going to appeal to? Fans would rather play the game than watch someone else play it, and those who don't know about the game likely aren't going to suddenly get into it after watching a bunch of teenagers flail around on a machine like maniacs. @_@

Eh, who knows.

By the sounds of it, 96% of the people who responded on this thread has the cold, yet truthful demeanor to be that bloody british man.

I'd do it laugh.gif There's nothing like crushing the dreams of kids younger than myself of ever having a chance of accomplishing something.

Well, I know that I have a bunch of videos of freestylers, and I know that I like watching them, especially Phreak's Wild Rush Routine. If there was a show that allowed people to make up dance routines...wait..that was Dance 360, and it was terrible...ish.

I can see how this could be a cool show, but they can't keep it hip-hop only, or trance only. It should be diverse, and show off a lot of styles. That one guy...dave something? who's disgustingly good at liquid dancing-he should be on the first episode, just to justify the show's point.

I'd watch it if it was about cool FS, and then maybe a segment on the show about DDR/ITG/PIU.
