The first time I ever played DDR, all the girls played Heaven, and that song sucks anyway.
At the school event I helped at a few weeks ago, all the kids kept playing that damn Sean Paul song on Extreme 2, and Only You by Captain Jack.
But in general, I would say Butterfly. I'm just tired of hearing that song.
But, I do still like Speed Over Beethoven. |

Back in the day when my local Wal-Mart used to have a 4th Mix solo (as far as I can remember)...
underplayed: Love Again Tonight (for Melissa Mix), My Summer Love
overplayed: Butterfly, Boom Boom Dollar, Have You Never Been Mellow _________________

Its not surprising that alot of players play Daikenkai. Its one of those not-too-hard yet not-too-easy songs. Yeah I paly it at least once in my rounds. Also Cartoon Heroes is VERY OVERPLAYED. I don't know how I missed that. |

Max 300, Legend of Max, both PSM-s, and somehow Love Shine are hideously overplayed...
No one seems to plai Aoi Shoudou much. I've seen one guy do it once, but otherwise, I'm like the only one around here...
I haven't seen anyone Somewhere Over the Rainbow at all... but... I got the 6th mix CD, listened to it, and... it's... blah... but I always wondered if the steps really sucked or something. Course, slim-to-no people play anything below seven feet...
Which would make Remember You underplayed, but I play that pathetically easy song waaaayyy too much... I can't help it, I'm a girl and it's so pretty... _________________

Ok. The most overplayed song isn't Cartoon Heroes. By a mile. |
>_> i said that because his ddr is at a comic book store. it was a joke. patrons of the store would go to the ddr machine, see cartoon heroes, and be like "omg how appropriate for a comic book store!" |

Agreed. That song's steps suck.
I think another reason that song is underplayed (besides the fact that its chart's bad) is that DDR players (esp. noobs, probably) think the song is "gay" because it's a remix of a song from a girly musical, or at least one with a girly heroine. C'mon, how can we possibly live with ourselveses if we dance to the songs we heard watching that movie when we were five?
Sakura is way overplayed, probably because it's an easy 10 and it's "cool and japanese". However, no one plays the other gimmick 10 because it's "cool and scottish". I guess there's more japanophiles than scotophiles playing DDR, considering it is a japanese game. |

I RARELY see "It's Raining Men" being played, for obvious reasons. >_>; |

actually, i would play "somewhere over the rainbow" quite often, if it weren't such a terrible mix. the vocals are half covered up (and aren't done too well in the first place), and the rest of the song is repetitive and idiotic.
and the steps are gimmicky and uninspired. i wouldn't say they suck, though. they're definitely the best part of choosing to play somewhere. |

Well The Paranoia's and the MAX's are O.D. played by the pros. And the noobs always pick random. I'm in the middle so I always manage to pick .59 or A or something with a very hardcore techno mix with the ocassionaly MAX 300. _________________

That's my warm-up doubles song......everytime I play doubles basically. The steps are pretty fun.
Daikenkai Oni Doubles, now THERE is an underplayed chart, but if we're just talking about songs, Speed Over Beethoven, Senorita (Speedy), and Butterfly are totally overdone. Almost no one touches the 10s where I live but me and I rarely play DDR. Once you can play all 3 Maxes in a set and earn extra stage, you start focusing on difficult dancing games instead. _________________

God, I remember the time when an acquaintance of mine freestyled on it --yes, S4R Heavy.
In addition, wtf is up with people overplaying R3 to death? Freestyle material in all levels? _________________
