The torrent is on my computer. I open it with BitTorrent, and occasionally it turns it into a .zip like I want it to. Other times it says "0.0% Done, ? Remaining". And stays like it. Forever and ever and ever. |

Stepmania Online Forums I believe has all DDR Official, ITG 1+2, and Pump Redone, but I think Pump needs re-hosting and i'm not sure about having ITG 1+2. Contact me on AIM/YIM/MSNM and I'll send them to you.

You can get stepmania 3.9 on the stepmania website, although this isn't for the actual game itself; it's specifically for simfiles for the game. As for the requested songs, you can get them at DDR Lover for singles or DDRUK for full song groups, depending on the mix.

i'm looking for pad sims for music along the lines of idm and pitchfork media or stylus magazine type music (that is, experimental electronic, indie and avant rock, etc).
flash flash revolution had some vsnares, emotional joystick, and bloodbrothers which was kinda cool, and bemanistyle had some aphex twin, but that's like a dozen sims out of 5000.
any other recs?

I'm willing to bet that no one's seeding these. Lemme give you a rundown of how a .torrent works:
BitTorrent was created to make a faster way to download things than a direct download. It takes advantage of irregularity in bandwith speed. In a direct download, your download is limited by the maximum upload rate of whoever you're downloading from. BitTorrent allows you to "leech" small parts of files from many sources, and popular files, with lots of seeders, do work faster than direct downloading. When there's very few seeders, the download can take several hours or even days. This is the case with files like these songpacks which not many people seed, mainly because they suck. If you manage to get a torrent started, you seed the part you've already downloaded.
IF YOU HAVE A FINISHED TORRENT, SEED IT.
Why? Because you should. It's charitable to other poor shmucks with no life who just want their daily fix of StepMania (me, for instance).
So, that's how they work. Now get over it, getting simfiles is not a matter of life and death. |
