meh, i don't really know. I sure can't pass it, but I still can't pass Pandemonium hard either. I usually try to be able to pass songs before I pass judgement. Monolith I don't see what the big deal is. It's a tough 11 indeed but not nearly as hard to pass.... there are no runs in it, and there are only about 2 little sections i remember that are very hard to combo, and they aren't even that step heavy, so you can flail your feet around and bs through it without having to worry about missing a ton of steps. The rest isn't that tough, just a bit of a workout, if youre bar raping it the majority isn't so bad. _________________

As bad as a reason as this sounds, there aren't enough 11's. Keep it as the "main boss" 11 and make Monolith the "mini boss". Yes, Delirium and Vertex are easier, but seriously, we NEED more 11's. _________________

I can do all 11s and 12s, even getting an S/S- on Xuxa + Utopia, and only Bs at the 12 footers. Pandemonium on Hard and Vertex^2 I got a 74% on ....
....And I can't even get halfway through Hardcore, which is why it should be a 12 in my book. _________________

I think that it's a difficult song and is quite difficult currently as a 11. I believe that compared to the other 12s that are on the easy side, it'd fit in well.
I think it should be "upgraded" to a 12. _________________

I say leave it an 11. Sure, it's hard, but it's not THAT hard. You just gotta get your speed improved. Here's what hands R' Us said- It has:
Ridiculous death runs- I agree, but once you get the hang of their speed and direction, they're really easy.
spins- ...What?
crossovers- There are a few crossovers, nothing too crazy.
jackhammers- Pushing an arrow 3 times in a row in a stream is NOT hard.
jump streams that surpass even Pandemonium- Huh? Pandy has jump streams? I'll admit the jumps are tough if you can't read arrows too well, i had the same thing when on 3x Hallway, so I upgraded to 4x Hallway and it's easier.
Oh and monolith should be an 11 aswell. _________________

If you say that there are 10 12s and 14 11s, then you're right that there is a lack of 12s.
However, ITG works on a difficulty pyramid. There are only 3 13s, and 10 12s. This pyramid system is not to act as a nuisance for 13-level dancers, but to act as a good way of getting up to the next difficulty with variety. There are a ridiculous amount of 9s (over 60), quite a few 10s (over 30 I think) but then you make a huge jump to 14 11s. I think there should be more 11s to better construct the difficulty pyramid and not more 12s because 11s and 12s don't need to be even _________________

Hardcore Symphong should NOT be a 12 !!!! It's not even that bad of an 11. It just has a couple fast (and very fun if I may add) runs
But Monolith on the other hand...
That's one energy-draining 11 I tell you _________________

The dedicated cabinet Monolith should be a 12. The boxor upgrade Monolith should not be a 12. _________________

If it is R1. Not if they upgraded. Holy crap I played it yesterday, that stepchart is a piece of crap. Hurray for left-right freezes and then up-down hands! _________________

July is a pain in the buttocks, but not so much as HS. Monolith is on the level of July, if not easier imo. _________________

True dat. July isn't hard, it's just energy draining. I have more energy after playing Hardcore Symphony then July. _________________

Really? I find that interesting. July is the most draining 11 followed by Pandemonium(Hard) and Hardcore Symphony.
July has candle steps at 170. That's faster than Pandemonium's candlesteps, how can you guys conserve energy on that song?
Anyways, I'm not arguing that July should be a 12. It is the most tiring 11, but not the hardest (if that makes sense.) _________________

Faster than Pandemonium? No. The candle steps during the middle of July are actually 12th notes. That's slower than 16th notes. |
Uhhh..... there's candles in July from start to finish, that's what makes the chart so distinctively hard. The middle part has nothing to do with it. 16ths at 170 are faster than 8ths at 330 so.....
The thing about July being easier than HS is that 1. It's slower, yeah not by much, but at my level that 4 bpm does make the little bit of difference for me at least 2. There are no extremely long streams like HS (long fast runs at that speed kill me if I actually succeed at getting through them), July's steps only come in burst of 3-7 steps on average 3. HS is very jumpy so that right there is a big problem 4. The steps in July aren't quite as awkward i think.
As for Pandemonium hard, it's still far more draining than july simply due to the unrelenting jumps, and the streams get far longer. July just has no real extended streams and lacks all the jumps of the others.
the way I see it HS > Pande Hard > July = Monolith, and those are the "hard 11's" _________________
