I think people say 6th Style has early timing. It's not harder, it just takes time to adjust to.

It does seem slightly early compared to 7th. I still find harder compared to other styles. Hell I just recently got an overall AAA score on 6th, while I've pretty much all the other ones(except 8th[hard for me to score [A]'s E2.gif ] and 10th[haven't finished entering scores] ) and that's just because I've been able to play some of the 6th style songs on BMUS, haha.

Amazing that you have it at the SAME angle as your early copies of IIDX 9th and 10th style E13.gif

According to the official IIDX 4th style website, Twinbee ~Generation X~ -- a beatmania III original-- showed up in 4th Style.

Are there any other examples of songs from beatmania/III that showed up in IIDX and vice-versa?

Jam & Marmalade was another one from III that showed up in 4th Style.

One mix of beatmaniaIII had era (nostalmix), Reincarnation, and I think either R3 or R5.

Are there any songs from beatmania/III that's available by default in RED? I'm just curious asking so, given that it's the nearest machine that I know of.

All IIDX RED songs are original by default. No crossovers/transplants except Tell Me More, Nebula Grasper, and More Move w/c are 8th style CS Exclusives.

I just got beatmania for the usa ps2, and I was wondering something. When do you actually fail the song?? I mean on ddr and itg, you fail if your life bar goes down all the way during any part of the time. Is it the same with beatmania??? Cause I'm stuck on November 20 (5 key)

If you have Challenge on, you fail when you guage hits 0.

If you don't, you fail when you get to the end without 80% of your guage left.

It's up to you if you want Challenge turned on or off. It's under the options by pressing the Start button. And about the timing, keep practicing.

Actually, that machine was there for one main purpose:

Konami decided to show off Beatmania IIDX 13th Style DistorteD to show the US and other people who went to E3 how cool the game really is and that hopefully a lot of people start buying it now. It was also mainly used not to just show off DistorteD itself, but to mainly give reputation to all the IIDX games that Konami/Bemani has produced.

So, with DistorteD being displayed at E3, our chances of seeing another IIDX machine around our area has raised a bit.
