Allright... so I've been checking out this forum for a little while, looking for pad information, and today, I finally got the nerve to join, so I could actually make a topic.
I need a metal pad that can stand up, and has sensetivity and will work for a long time. Arcade realism not needed. All the pad needs is to keep sensetivity, xbox and pc capabilities, and a bar, seeing as I rape the bar like crazy.
I won't be able to buy for a while, til I get back from basic training, but I just need a new mat, since my floor mat is screwed.
I'd even take a homemade mat, if I was reassured on its quality. |

Well if you want a good pad with an alright bar, get the blueshark.
If you want an alright pad with a crappy bar, get a tx6000.
If you want an awsome pad, get a cobalt flux and then make your own bar like this dude:

Well, I was thinking about making a bar, so what is a good, cheap metal mat, that won't severely piss me off? |

Allright, well, now that we've decided I'm not getting something with a bar intiaially, I dont think I want to buy a CF, because those are expensive. They might be teh pwnage, but, teh pwnage costs a lot more the daddy wants to spend really. |

I was just waiting for someone to suggest this to me. I was seriously thinking about these. I just... need a couple more suggestions of them. I think I'll get 2 so I can play doubles.
And if they die, I could rebuild them. I'll have the bodies, then all i'll have to do is rewire them if they die. |

ive had a cahnce to play on a tx 4000 that was being used in a commercial environment according tot he staff it had been set up for about 3 months but it looked demolished while its piossible the 4000 is better than the other TX series it still seems to fail in comparion to the blueshark and the CF
stay away form the afterburner like the plague RO seems to be constantly downgrading their quality _________________

The Blueshark GXG is the only pad on the market which is an accurate representation of the arcade experience. It is the heaviest pad and is the only pad with the same sensor configuration as the arcade (the design. I know the arcade uses 16 sensors not 8). All other pads available use some sort of foil sensors without a hard stop. People can talk about accuracy until the cows come home, but even a RO Afterburner can consistently SDG crap. The Blueshark GXG is the only pad that actually feels like the arcade because it uses a hard stop for the arrows which is seperate from the 'squishing' effect of the sensor. |

I'm just looking for something that works well, and is metal. I'm not looking for an arcade experience. I'm just looking for something that will work for a while, and stand up, and I'm gonna build my bar. |

Well, that's great. Now I'll just have to wait until I get back from Basic Training to buy them.
Thanks a lot marquistadorous, for all the time you spent looking through Ebay crap for this. |

If you're trying to choose between two or more pads, then post IN THE THREADS FOR THOSE PADS. Do NOT make a new thread for this.
DO NOT POST A "WHICH PAD IS THE BEST?" THREAD.
If you really want to know, do some research. You'll narrow it down pretty quickly. Do *NOT* post a thread asking for information that you could have easily found by looking - why should anyone else exert effort on your behalf when you were too lazy to find out yourself? |
I do believe that includes "recommendation" threads. _________________
