If I start to play beatmania, will it screw me up in ddr/itg cause the scroll is going down instead of up? Cause I don't want to have to play itg and ddr reverse scroll all the time

No considering the concept (outside of it being a rhythm game) is pretty much completely different than DDR/ITG.

Agreed. No rhythm game that I play has interfered with the other so far. |

If anything it helped me for other bemani games (especially drummania) since when you get to high levels there is quite a few key presses so you get used to analyzing a bunch at once.
Has anyone ever noticed that all Bemani games that are relatively static have a scroll downward (ie. BM/IIDX, DM, Pop N, KM) yet more active ones (ie. DDR, PPP, DMX, GF) all scroll upward?

GitaDora (Guitar Freaks/DrumMania) and DDR are the only Bemani games that have both normal and reverse scroll options. I didn't find that much different to it.

It depends on how you get used to the format. I can do both normal and reverse separately on DDR and can still play IIDX or other Bemani games. Keyword: Getting used to

Though none of these games had the option initially.
I still want to know if there is some sort of wacky hidden unlockables that we haven't found...

Off-topic: If you're talking about Cross, that's just half of the scroll going down. More specifically, the blue notes. That can't be considered a fully-scrolling down opstion.

Off-topic, but you know... I can never see beatmania having a reverse-scroll option... that would seriously frick with a LOT of peoples heads.
It would just be something that wouldn't feel right.

About the closest thing you can find to Reverse on Beatmania is Challenge mode in the more recent Pop 'n' Music games. Just set your challenges to "Permanent," and "Reverse," and there you go!
...And yes, it is kinda weird-looking.

And I somehow AAA'd e-motion...on Beginner. ohsnap. I AAA'd about 4 songs yesterday. But uh...on to 4* and up!

Same here. That ending kills me. I'd rather play 7-key for now, though.
Just got this on Monday; it's the first Beatmania game I've ever played. I had quite a few issues with it at first, but after talking with some BM vets, I feel a bit better about it.
I'm working on passing all the 7-key songs on Beginner. Getting good at this is gonna take some time. |

Well, I almost passed all songs on Beginner...I can pass V but not Snow, which seems kinda backwards to me. Maybe it's because the ending always kill me.
5keys I can pass everything except 6* and 7*. 321 Stars is fun but ridilous on the scratch+2+4+6 part. MY GOD.
And I C'd Attitude Normal infront of classmates. Yay.
