Just wondering. Torrents are REALLY REALLY ANNOYING. I'd much rather download a .zip. Anyone know where I can get stepmania files for DDRMAX, MAX 2, 5thMIX, 4thMIX, 3rdMIX, and 3rdMIX Plus in the .zip format?

Bandwidth sir. And you might want to stick to one thread for all your sim file needs.

They've been dead forever. I tried yesterday, dead.

And NerveBand:
BitTorrent hates me. I tried getting them from DDRUK (download from url) and there was some error problem thing. And doing it from my computer doesn't work. Anywhere else I can get direct downloads?

Don't use BitTorrent; use BitComet. I've tried BitTorrent and it always stalls on me. BitComet is a much better choice.

BitComet hates me too. It always, ALWAYS says "0.0% done" or something like that. And I leave it that way. For a while. And it stays that way. So far I've tried BitComet, BitTorrent, and uTorrent. NONE WORKED. Can someone send me MAX, MAX 2, 5thMIX, 4thMIX, 3rdMIX, and 3rdMIX Plus in .zip folders?

Chances are it's not that the program doesn't work, but that no one seeds the torrents because most people don't really want worthless song packs.

You do understand what "seeding" is, right?

Seeds are people connected to the torrent tracker who have 100% of the file data and upload to others. Leeches (peers) are those who have some % and both upload and download from others. If there are no seeds, your torrent will probably never finish (or even begin; I don't know, since everything I've done has always had a couple seeds). If there are no peers at all, the torrent goes nowhere.

I agree. Torrents are the stupidest idea to ever touch base with the internet. Don't have bandwidth to host a normal file to a large base of people? Don't host it. I hate torrents, the only time they are good with when there are about 1000 seeders, and almost 1 or 2 leechers. I've messed with torrents too much and got way too irritatted with them. I'd host one for you, but my FTP server takes forever to upload stuff. Find someone who can out of the kindness of their heart.

Actually the concept of BitTorrent is a very good one, and you're likely just bitter that your download rate sucks because you only download meaningless files that no one seeds because they're so irrelevant. Plus most of the downloaders of pointless stuff like videos, music, etc quit seeding as soon as their download is completed, so when almost everyone does that it sucks.
