whoever said team up with konami is my friend.

Make it stay guitar hero(hero freaks sounds stupid), but advertize that NEW SONGS FROM DDR ARTISTS! and include some BeForU and Jimmy Wrekl and Des-Row. Include the ability to use the drum controller with it, ala guitar freaks+drummania. Include new stuff from the guitar hero 1 artists and some new ones(like stuff from Guns n' Roses) and also the bemani artists. Make a better controller and include a new 5 key option for the guitar freaks songs and make new charts for them, but also include the original 3-key stuff. Round off the song list at about 100, make some sort of sorting system(where you can browse by genre, for example), and can the backgrounds in favor for a more basic guitar freaks type interface, thats easier to read. Also, make you be graded on persision on the harder difficulties. And please, PLEASE include speed mods.

Basically, make it more hardcore. So you cater to hardcore music fans and the new music game fans you got with guitar hero 1.

Anyone asking for any Pump or any Korean songs has to be completely joking. There's no way that will get in there. Japanese rock seems equally unlikely, but I could see a song or two sneaking their way in there sometime maybe. by the way, beauty & stupid is a song by hide, not Hyde. Hyde is a guy from L'arc~en~Ciel and hide is a dead guitarist from X.

Asking for Harmonix to make a deal with Konami and fuse it with Guitar Freaks also has to be totally joking. What does Harmonix have to gain from doing that, pleasing you and your elite bemani friends? Give me a frick break. Harmonix already has a bigger market than you and your GF/DM importing leet crew. People don't want DDR music in a guitar game, believe it or not. they don't want trippy videos either, for the most part. Guitar Hero is knee-deep in rock culture, and that's why it's so successful. Making it more like Guitar Freaks would be stupid, because it would be a step backwards.

Hey, now that you mention l'arc~en~ciel, i realize how amazingly awesome it would be to put them in a music game! Think about it! Actually, just putting j-rock in guitar hero at all might be enough for it to warrent a purchase in my book.

Maybe my whole "team up with konami" thing was a little over the top, but speed mods cant be. ANd i thought the way you chose songs in guitar hero was god awful. You don't get artists, you dont get BPM, you don't get difficulties. Guitar Hero had many flaws. Face it. Stuff the main stream people dont notice, but music game fans do. And when i say guitar freaks type system, i should say make it OPTIONAL! and we can all agree they need to grade on PRECISION also.

do you really need speed mods in any music simulation game? i can play that just fine.

as for what needs to be in guitar hero 2:

more music (duh, but make sure it is good, no real suggestions here)
practice mode (so i can try those really hard parts)

and oh yeah, no bemani artists in gh. period. this is not a bemani game, and should not have any association with it.

Children Of Bodom - In Your Face
All these songs basically show that range...Seeing as how it's all mainstream songs then the singles like that would make sense though the ones that never hit the radio or videos would be nice too. The game good potential and it's alright but that little white bar for hitting the notes can get annoying.
