Before this gets locked, let me voice my opinion.
I have a TX-1000, and it's an amazing dance pad. It's durable, quiet, and extremely responsive. It's not an exact arcade replica, but it gets pretty close. I got it for 150 dollars, but with the shipping, it came out to be 200 dollars.
I wouldn't really reccomend a Cobalt Flux because it's way too loud (from what I've seen in their product videos), and of course, it's very expensive. _________________

You lose. Txs suck, you have to step in center and they short easily. Cf's may be loud, but zomg so is a arcade pad |

What are you on?!?! You must not play very much cause I have (well had) a tx1000 and I had to fix it about every day. It also does NOT feel ANYTHING like the arcade due to the crappy sensors, flimsy panels, and soft, poorly constructed feel.
Although cobalts don't have an arcade feel either (unless you get the mod) they are fantastic pads _________________

Cf doesn't have the slightly lowered triggers by default like an arcade pad, which proves to be a problem for me. |
You can just order an arcade mod from them with the cobalt flux as well, and they will install it before they ship it. And it only costs $25 (for the arcade mod).
Anyway I really like the Cobalt Fluxes, and it's a great pad and one of the best. _________________

As far as I know.
Real Arcade feeling metal pad is BlueShark metal pad.
1. Blueshark metal pad use real arcade foot sensors (2 sensors per arrow panel).
2. BlueShark metal pad use 12mm thick panel like arcade machine
3. BlueShark metal pad use handle bar with leather grip. Not as firm as real arcade machine, but still good enough. The best metal pad handle bar on the market.
4. BlueShark metal pad is very heavy so it would not move at all when you play 12~13 steps.
Problem:
you might have to adjust the screws after playing for a while. Not difficult job.
Too heavy to move around. |

Well.....
I've passed MAX 300 on a TX-1000.
I've gotten a SDG on a TX-1000.
I play at least 2 times per week.
I can get many AAs on this pad.
I've had this pad for about a year now. It has some cracks in it, but it still registers beautifully.
I'm happy with my dance pad. _________________

I'm about 270. When the online retailers say it can support a person up to 250, well, I think they're lying. Trust me when I say it's a durable dance pad. _________________

Do not, I repeat DO NOT get the RedOctane Afterburner. It's a lousy pad and will break within 3 months! The way it was built...it just not right.
I reccomend the TX4000. My boyfriend (he's 220) and I use it all the time, and have been for a good 5 months, and it works great! Play with shoes, though, because it's slippery with socks.

i got the cypher games pad from judysdeals (an ebay seller) it came with the boxc, anfd it was one of the ones with the metal support thing round it (ive been outta the ddr community so forgive me for my lack of rememberance.) but im about 240 and it has held up to me AAA A for extreme and V, along with stepmania passing max300 with a b, so it works fine, and i have had my brother who weighs over 300 lbs play on it for a total of i would say 30 hours of game tiime along with me playing all day for 4 months last summer, so it has always been a great pad, granted some of the wiring casing has been worn, and i accedentally cut one of the wires to a light while cleaning the scensors, after making my own aluminum foil wrap mod, wich has held up for about a year w/o changing it. so good luck with finding a pad! its fun. _________________
