No, its not just the 3.0, its the afterburner too. Boy do i have a story to tell about the afterburner.

One of my friends got one around christmas of 2005, he was all excited and it worked great for a good 3 weeks. Then one day it randomly wouldn't work. No idea why, everything seemed fine, but then we looked and saw that the input for the control box cord was all frick up. Don't know how that happened, but it is. So, he calls up redoctane and they say they'll send him one of the forms to put on the box to send it back. One month later and he still hasnt gotten it, so he calls them again and they say "they're out of the forms" about 2 weeks later he finally got one, and sent it back. But redoctane keeps sending him these goddamn forms. I don't know if they've stopped yet, but he has about 20.

So he sends it back maybe mid febuary. Still no new dance pad.

he got screwed off the redoctane big time.

Our new theory? frick redoctane. frick everything they make.

We're boycotting and not buying anything redoctane. Even though i liked ITG, i won't play it because he got totally raped off redoctane.

And heres my sad story. I got a 3.0 for christmas. This was during a time when i was in need for another dance pad. So i hooked it up, only to find the foam was too small and the down arrow didnt work. So i took it back to best buy(the good thing was we got it from a store) and got another. Same song and dance with this pad. So i decided ill give them one more chance. This one worked fine...for about 10 days! then it frick out. So i took it back, got store credit for what i paid, and picked up we love katamari and some anime.

We hate redoctane. We love katamari. We love DDR. We hate ITG.

Get with the program and help start the Dance Revolution; a redoctane free world full of japanese imports and good dance pads!

JOIN THE REVOLUTION!

Wow. I'll remember that. Thanks!

Because ITG obviously told RedOctane to make bad pads.

Anyways, on the topic of ROs, was there ever a time they were good? My friend has been able to test ROs new stuff every year and comes back with the same response. "Sucked, just like last year."

No, but RedOctane, together with RoXor, produce ITG. The ITG game is a RedOctane product, and since he's boycotting all RedOctane products, that means he's boycotting ITG.

Just seems like a really shaky attempt at backing why someone would hate ITG, but thats just me. Lets not have a flame war about how certain people hate ITG or something for some stupid reason.

I've had mine for nearly a month and I've had no problems with it. And I didn't pay $100 for mine, so I don't know why everyone else seems to have. Mine was only $60 at Gamestop. Make up your own mind, I guess, but I have no bones to pick with RedOctane. I love my Ignition, and so far it's been worth every penny I spent on it.

(However, I did spend $10 on a year warranty, because I have broken two mats in the past, though they were just the cheap soft flat ones.)

i know this is almost deadbut i want a say in this. I have a 3.0 and its worked 4 me, fully unlocked boths max2 and extreme2 on in, no problems yet, still as responsive since the day i had it. another thing that may make you pads go bad is how you put them away, i only fold my RO in thirds onece cause if i fold in 1/3's twice is folds on the sensors just my 2 cents but it may make a difference. (bte because ITG is a RO product, its mopstly produced by roxor and its a game not a pad

I don't even fold mine. I think folding my old mats is what made then break. I don't reccomend folding DDR pads.
