as far as i know, no one's unlocked anything yet. i got it last night and cleared everything 7 Key song on Normal with at least an A and got nothing. The difficulty DOES go up to 10 Stars, while the highest default song is an 8 on Hyper, so there's a possibility of unlockable songs.

I'm gonna buy this. I'm gonna play it casually, so $60 bor a IIDX and controller with a game is a damn Godsend.

That's not true. You can get back whatever you paid. If you paid in trade-in credit, you get that back. If you paid 5 bucks in cash, well, expect to see a five dollar bill. If they say, "you can only get that in store credit," FREAK OUT! They CANNOT do that. Just make sure you go back there soon, as the employees there eventually have to send the reserve slips/credits into their district manager, and you could lose that five bucks. I know it's only five bucks, but still.
Take it from the assistant manager of the one here.

Actually, the list came from GameFaqs. Forgot the reason why it was censored. 
I got mine about 12:20, which was an hour and some change.
Well...I really gotta work on my hand-eye coordination. Toxic is actually pretty good. And dare I say, the video does too. She actually looks better animated.
I think I can do 5.1.1. on Hyper but that's about it. Bad Boy Bass I keep failing at the end.
Oh well, trial and error!

I would've thought so. Everytime a major music game (DDR or Benami game) gets released, the thread that talks about the game before the release gets locked & the mods make a new one w/ a full song list & stuff.
So, is BM worth it if I'm a 1st timer?
& remember, if we buy more Benami games, they might bring Guitar Freaks over! |

I got it last night. I'm a first time player. Is it supposed to be this frustrating? After like 10 songs i was ready to throw the thing out the window. Then i switched to IIDX mode and it was much easier. Also the music sounds hollow. Is this normal? On all my other music games, ddr, itg, gh the music sounds full.
Maybe i'm just missing something. Also why are some songs not available in the first round? Like after i play a song or two i see more songs pop up but every first round they are missing. |

Beatmania is considered to be the hardest of the Bemani series. It takes quite a while to pass even the easiest songs.
I'm not sure what you mean by the music sounding hollow. If you miss a note, then that sound will not play if that's what you mean.
btw, I got my copy today. I haven't played it yet, but I'm sure it'll be fantastic.
