I hate it when people think they're all high and mighty because they can walk up the fucking DDR screen.
I would BAN YOU FOR LIFE for doing the Matrix Walk on the machine at my arcade.
Why? Because it fucking breaks the screen and damages the internal hardware (in short, it can kill the machine). And if you ruined the whole machine, I'd have to pay around $5,000+ for a new DDR machine, and most arcade owners don't have that kind of money, and for those of us that work/play DDR at a franchise arcade (Tilt!, Namco arcades, etc.), we will probably never get another machine because the companies are too cheap to buy new machines everytime one breaks.
I'm surprised you haven't been banned for life wherever you play at for doing a Matrix Walk on the machine. _________________

when i do the matrix walk, i do it softly. i have seen people doing it that stomp on the screen, and the color messed up and stuff. i just got a warning.
anyways, thinksi hate are:
people who shadow you off beat, and mess you up
people who brag that they are better than you because they can do one song better.
people who are all like "i bet you cant do this song!"
people who bar rape every song and everyone thinks they are all good, and when people bar rape the same song 3 times in a row.
one of the things i REALLLLY hate is when some random guy comes up and starts doing the same song as you, with a bunch of mods, making you look bad. i could do it with all those mods, but you dont see me going up to people and making them look bad.
and of course, people who ask you to play certain songs because they thing the song is cool.
thats the worst things, i have a long list, but it would be like a page long, lol _________________

Electronic components are very fragile things. You can't do a "soft" matrix walk, as you need to be able to support your weight or you'll frick fall. You will break the machine, and if they find out it's your fault, they may make you pay for it. Some idiot broke the screen at my favorite place about 3 weeks to a month ago, and I kicked him right in the buttocks when he got down and the screen went dead. Everyone else yelled at him, and he got banned from the arcade. The screen is now a very dark green shade and freezes every now and then.

I hate it when you play ddr in your arcade and a racist b*tich calls you a n*gger (in a disrespectfull way) because you are one of the best players there and your black.. (true story)
I also hate it when they blame you for breaking the machine one day (even though you have not been there that day) and then they call the cops to get you and said you are arested for vandalism and robbery. (also another true story) |

Just when I thought I was past the point of being surprised by the stupid crap people do... at the machine I was playing on today, there's a wood platform between the pad and the cabinet. In the middle of a song, this guy comes over, props up the platform and starts crawling under it and the pad looking for stray tokens! At 6 for a dollar, I can't imagine he earned enough to make up for all the inadvertant kicks he ended up taking. |

That matrix walker got what he deserved. So far I've never had to deal with a matrix walker, and hope I never have to. If my local DDR EXTREME broke, I'd be pissed beyond beleif. |

Last night I was playing DDR for the first time in forever.
These two dudes were on the pad like DUDE, SHE'S GOOD. YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE HER? NO WAY MAN. YEAH DUDE, DO IT. HEY DO YOU WANT TO PLAY MY FRIEND HERE?
I turn around, and the one kid is from my school.
Me and my friends would always make fun of him and call him "Juice Boy" because every day for breakfast he would sit at this really long table all by himself talking to himself drinking about 6 things of juice.
We'd take pictures with him and give him hugs.
So I just turned around and said "Hi Juice Boy."
He started at me, then realized who I was and wanted a hug.
Yah, I hate that kid.
P.S.
What the hell is the Matrix walk? |

It's in the DDRFreak Dictionary. But, I'll explain it anyways -
The Matrix Walk is a freestyle move that pays homage to Neo from the Matrix, in the scene where he runs up a wall and does a backflip. Basically, the player runs up the DDR machine's screen and backflips off the machine. It's very VERY bad for the machine (you're essentially kicking the screen) and is frowned upon by almost all DDR players. _________________

Are you a fucking idiot?

Get a hobby that doesn't involve breaking things kthx.
P.S.
Thanks for the info. ;p |

I'm perfectly fine with the nickname. But I guess you never thought he'd "like" getting hugs from attractive girls (or even girls in general since he's always alone at school?) You're cultivating his abnormal behavior.
nerds day out wrote: | "Hi Juice Boy." Realized who I was and wanted a hug. |
That definitely didn't surprise me -- you and your friends conditioned this response from him.
nerds day out wrote: | I hate that kid. |
You brought it upon yourself. Besides does giving a hug to someone you dislike make you a better person? I don't think so, because you're not feeling the hug.
May I ask how YOU'd feel in his shoes? Girls at school giving you hugs and pictures taken of you with girls... It burns my a$$ that you'd do that to the geek (probably has tons of emotional issues) and then complain about it!
As in Clueless: "That's, like, totally hypocritical!" And then people wonder why there's crazy people in the world. _________________
