Pump It Up is DEFINITELY better in my opinion. The stepcharts are better, the songlist has way more variety, the pad's arrow arrangement feels more natural, freestyle looks better, and it's just more fun, period.

Coming from the 4 panel dance pads, Pump feels weird to me. I keep wanting to hit buttons that arent there. The last machine I played at had some pretty low volume, but the music was so-so. Im sure if I put a crapload of practice and time into it, Pump would feel fine to me. But for now, its more of a "screw around and have fun with it" game.

My Pump experience was first...well, bad, but only because it's at an arcade where it's never taken care of. To this point, it's STILL broken.

Once I found a few good machines...well, I think both are good for their own reasons.

Now the real challenge for me is to try to pass/get consistent on no bar scoring to stay consistent with all of the games. laugh.gif

Yea I'm a serious four arrow player but when it comes to pump i also play for fun. I'm not seriously into it yet. Howerever even though i do love the game Im sure ill get better at it eventully and become really good like i Am with four pannels. The song difficultie rating are bleh! How come I find songs that are rated crazy 9 so much easier then songs rated hard 7?! I can pass so many 9' but i cant pass x-treame on hard WTF? I believe ITG'
s rating system is more "realistic"

I don't believe that the numbering carries over from mode to mode....

a 9 Crazy might be an easy crazy, while a 7 Hard is the hardest that mode gets. I think it probably sort of overlaps. However, a 11 Crazy is always harder than a 10 Crazy, etc.
