Both KH2 and Beatmania get shipped on the 28th. Which means for any stores other than game stores (GameStop, EBGames, etc) expect to see Beatmania on the 30th or 31st (since it's a bundle pack and will take a little longer to ship due to weight).
GameStop and EBGames will probably get it on the 29th, their games get shipped higher priority (since they're game stores) because they're required to get them out ON the release date.
Places like Best Buy and Circuit City usually don't get bundle packs until a couple of days later, mostly because the companies aren't required to have them out on the floor the day the come out. So they ship them on a slower route, because it's cheaper.

For game stores like EB Games and Gamestop, the speed of their game shipping depends generally on how many pre-orders they get. I remember when a friend and I pre-orded In The Groove for PS2(we were probably the only ones too,) it took almost 6 days past the release date to get to my town, totally lame.
Just saying you might want to watch out. If you know you're the only one who pre-ordered a copy of beatmania at your local store, you might want to consider buying it at Circuit City or Best Buy instead.

Thats crazy... but hell... i already traded in for 1 best buy card for 100.00 so ill be getting it for free anyways... so i guess until then i gotta be playing the waiting game!... But 04/04 is a little long... i am getting so anxious it was like the wait for a pump zero in AZ

I pointed this out first so I get a cookie! 
I am a little wary on Amazon though...I pre-ordered it yesterday and they gave me Delivery estimate: May 1, 2006 - May 2, 2006 -- now unless there is now ice in hell, I'm pretty sure that Beatmania didn't sell out for a month. I send them a letter asking about it and they responded with
"Our latest information indicates that "One Fine Stooge: Larry Fine's
Frizzy Life In Pictures" has not yet been released. As listed on our
site, it is currently scheduled to be released on March 21, 2006."
Now this gets me nervous, it didn't even have the right title there-- if I don't get beatmania by April 4th then someone is getting a bat-bitch slap at Amazon.

Thats an exception to the rule. In The groove kept getting pushed back from its announced date and eventually it shipped later then its final date. I remember alot of people complaining about it here.

Hm... It appears that Amazon/ToysRUs says that its shipping in 2 to 3 days. They also finally added the picture to the Beatmania Bundle. I wonder if they actually have it in stock. I think later today when the stores open I'll call around and see if anyone actually has it. That would make my month if Konami slipped it out a week early. =)

I seriously doubt it, you can order it, and it may ship in 2 to 3 days, but they probably mean after the release date.

can somebody let me know when a confirmed songlist comes out? That would be much appreciated. I would loooove to play Beatmania, but I dont want to risk blowing up my ps2 or anything while trying to mod it.

EDIT: Wow I just now realized that they say MAY!!! WTF??? I'm pretty sure they mean march though, seeing as I ordered it on March 21st with 2-day shipping those dates would make more sense.

Yeah, Amazon can be pretty screwed up with dates sometimes. I placed my Amazon order on March 6, and my account now says this about the order:
Shipping estimate: April 17, 2006
Delivery estimate: April 19, 2006 - April 20, 2006

Yes, Tuesday is the new release day for games, but that doesn't always mean they'll get it in on that day. The GameStop near here says they'll be getting it on the 29th. =) Probably because of shipping, since the controller and the game are definitely going to be bulky.

By the way, I just noticed that musicineverydirection.com now has some snippets of a few songs that'll be on beatmania. I'm pretty sure it's fairly new.

Many places leak games early (Halo2), or just randomly put out early the lesser known titles (Guitar Heroes anyone?).
Tuesday also = new movie day (I used to work in a video store).
I am glad that I'm not the only one with a rediculous release date on Amazon, my order was put in on March 18th and they estimated delivery on May 3rd. Hopefully that becomes April 3rd (or March 23rd  ).

I can confirm that Tuesday, March 28th is the shipping date to stores and should arrive by Wednesday, March 29th.

I have seen games released every day of the week my friend. This is what happens when you work at wal-mart for 3 years.
And yes, the game will be out next Wednesday. Can't wait. |
