|
|
Hello everyone, I'm looking at starting an arcade, and I'm wondering if anyone in the community knows some rough prices for Bemani games. New or used is irrelevant, which ever is cheaper (obviously used ^.^). I'm just in the planning stages right now and looking at bugets for games, so I just need rough estimates (like say "between $3000 and $5000")
I'm looking at either a DDR Extreme or SuperNova, a DDR 3rd or 5th mix, an IIDX 8th style or newer, a GuitarFreaks/DrumMania combo V or newer and an ITG 2.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
[Edit: Just thought I'd point out that I'm in Canada if that's at all relevant.] |

Quote: | DDR Extreme or SuperNova |
A DDR Extreme machine would cost anywhere from $5000 - $8000, a new SuperNOVA machine is going to be $14,000
Quote: | DDR 3rd or 5th mix |
These would be cheaper then Extreme. Probably like $3000-$4000
Quote: | IIDX 8th style or newer |
I've heard that IIDX machines (especially past 8th style, meaning the PC based hardware styles, not the PSX based hardware of 8th and before) are extremely hard to get. Count on it being around $9000-$13000 (I didn't check these)

I have no idea.
$10000
All of these prices are in USD and do not include shipping.
EDIT: I just checked channelbeat, and IIDX is more expensive then I thought. Meaning, a 9th is $12500. Also, channelbeat's reputation isn't too good either (one arcade that I go to ordered 16 new sensors from them, 7 of them were not in working order).
The people that go to that arcade did end up just saying "screw it" and decided to make their own sensors. They work REALLY well, like ITG2 dedicab good but 5 months after opening the pads. They will go on sale late July/early August. Since they work so well, and you won't have to replace them often at all, a pack to outfit an entire DDR/ITG machine will be $500, and for PIU it will be $550. Each pack comes with enough sensors for each arrow plus one more per arrow in case one doesn't work. I will personally be testing these sensors on May 20th, I'll let you know how they work. I have already heard reports from reliable sources that they work EXTREMELY well. |

The community will love you if you get Pop'n Music and/or BeatmaniaIIDX
If you get either game you need to get Popn 9 or Beatmania IIDX 9 or you won't be able to upgrade them. _________________

About those sensors...there is more info at http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=115853 . I didn't realize that there was a DDRFreak thread earlier, since I don't look in boards besides the ITG board too much. |

Ebay is EXTREMELY hit or miss with machines, since arcade owners don't know exactly what a good machine should be like, they'll probably say its in good condition and it could be, though it might not be.
Coinopexpress I've heard is good, but shipping is VERY expensive from them. |

Most people that direct you to CB or Coin-Op has never dealt with these companies before.
Most of the time, what they say they have on their website they don't even have in stock.
Also, most machines on there (both sites), you're going to get ripped off or paying for bootlegged upgraded games. _________________
