I know it is ITG and not DDR, but I heard D-code on a commercial for Coke.

V For Vendetta - "What good is a revolution without dancing?" Plus, the name sounds like V For Extreme, and I played V at the arcade's DDR machine before the movie started. (Didn't pass thanks to crappy, beat up pads.)

Omg it's ItG not DDR.

Sweet World from ItG2 was playing on some kind of makeup commercial. I didn't catch the brand or anything...

I don't normally sit down and watch MTV ftw. I caught what I think was a new episode of "Made" last night. There's this guy that's fresh out of highschool and going to community college. He's trying to get "Made" into a "Ladies man" (again). It was pretty hilarious the guy played Magic the Gathering (which I used to back in highschool), he played World of Warcraft and was talking about his fire mage gnome (LOL) I play that as well. But then they show him playing DDR in an empty arcade.
It was priceless, the made coach shows up and brings 2 girls for him to meet as well. The girl's ask "What's to do around here for fun?" then the camera switches to the arcade again, and we've all heard it.
"DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION!" straight from the game.
He's playing it while the girls just watch him... then they complain "Are you actually sweating?"
Then the rest of the episode is all about the slutty activity on spring break... yadda yadda yadda... Just a shame MTV likes to show us that our hobbies are "Lame" and we should just go get drunk and be stupid.

Jesse 26/M/Kearny NJ www.myspace.com/jesseman1979 (sorry there's little DDR references on my page, I've really only been playing for 5 months or so now... but totally addicted)

P.S. I'm betting someone else mentioned this but DDR was in one of Madonna's latest music videos laugh.gif

On the plane trip home from Hawaii, this kid in Business class was playing that portable DDR game for the PSP. Kind of cool, but not really...

Also, one of my friends at school (whom I've never heard talk about, let alone play DDR) had Fascination MAXX on his iPod, and thus I discovered he's a DDR maniac.

Yeah, I saw that too. When the guy spun the wheel to see which prize he would play for, it was the ****. Then I was like "haha, quad star, like in In The Groove". Then the puzzle came up and I was like "OMG In The Groove" in less than a second. laugh.gif

I seen in the local newspaper this morning (Yes, I read the newspaper!), an ad for a county school system (just showing off what all they offer). On the 2nd page of the ad (it was a huge ad), there were two girls playing DDR in a school gymnasium. What is so funny is that their feet were in the middle of the pad. I was laughing my *** off!!

Also, there was a news story in my neck of the woods that was about the same thing (DDR fitness) and I seen a really skinny girl playing Long Train Running on Light (doing not bad at all). THe story was not bad, but I wish the TV station would have put the best players in my neck of the woods, too (like other news stories around the country!!!). I know it was a stupid news story, but IMO I think that that story makes makes good DDR players in WV (my state) look worthless. The story was cool, but those things woulda made it better!!!!

I can't have been the only one to hear DDR on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me today. It's a public radio quiz show about the news--John McCain barely showed up for a fundraiser with Dick Cheney and the host joked it was because John had heard someone beat his high score at the arcade...

In the third stage of Ape Escape 3 (I think it is Saru-mon's Castle), the song playing in the background is quite clearly Polovstian Dances and Chorus. Hmmm...

Yeah, I noticed that. Pretty good job, Konami. Now if they could make it that if you had DDR saved on your memory card, Praying Mantis (whatever his name is) could read your mind.....(or whatever he does)
