Beatmania for PS2 redated

Well, DDR wasn't too popular when it came out for the U.S., it just recently had gotten popular. Konami doesn't abandon music games too often.

And this game got a 8.5 in this month's issue of Game informer. I know that it'll be higher for the general population of Beatmania players.

i am glad for the game informer review being so high.... OPM and their review basically said there were a lot of flaws with it... i just hope this is a big sucess so we could get more beatmania out here... IIDX has been so so addicting and i need something to get my IIDX fix... even if it resorts to watering it down to the general public so we could get more beatmania..........

and yes that comment in my post above was meant to be a stereotype... yet here in the phoenix area... there are a lot of people who walk the malls like that and they are so so shallow and wont wear anything but abercrombie... but i meant it to kind of point out that konami is marketing most of their games to this generic public.... look at the cross advertising they have done with DDR and Karaoke revolution... and soon to include beatmania... that ad campaign works at attracting new players included in the general public aka "chelsea" mainly because this ad campaign is clearly visible in my sisters teen people magazine, my gay fashion magazines, and other prissy magazines that embody that stereotype... right now though it only advertises Karaoke revolution and DDR... it probably will sono include beamania... but if you notice as well there was some marketing on the cups at Carls Jr. too... so we all know konami is trying to take this mainstream .... but whatever Konami does i just hope they stick to the style of beatmania IIDX on this release... becase its all about the key smashing and turntable scratching

The April issue of PSM gives it a 7.5/10. Kinda nice to see the game isn't scoring too bad.

I've read in GI that the keys sometimes stick. I'm waiting till DDR Freak gives us a review.....Any word on what the hardest song will be?

I doubt I'll have the money come the end of the month to get Beatmania.

Both this AND Kingdom Hearts II get released on the same day...argh.

Oh well, I should have the money in early April to get it. Even if I can't play the game itself (since my US PS2 is broken

), it'll be nice to buy it for a second controller. Then I can play Doubles!

...haha, I wish. I'm okay at Light7 and suck at 7Key and Another, so I doubt I'd even pass anything on Light14.

Anyone know when Best Buys release Date is... because all I know is that I get beatmania and Kingdom hearts 2 for free... i am so so thankful i work somewhere that I could trade the rewards points i earn for signing people up into our frequent guest cult for best Buy giftcards... and I think I have been saving my points for months just so that i could get Beatmania... its actually kind of sad... i would have expected my points to have been spent by now.
