amen......................that little dude rox mah jandle. you know that would suck if that little dude was reading all the stuff alot of people are writing about him. c'mon guyz hes only 6!!!!! ive seen heaps of people that aren't that good. yet they think they are. man you guyz should just cut him some slack and congratulate him on his accomplishment. |
Agreed. This is a wonderful accomplishment for 3 reasons:
1. He's 6 years old.
2. He used an Ignition pad.
3. The song he passed is one that I have never seen another video of. _________________

I got to say for a 6 year old that is incredibly good. When I was 6 years old I definetely did not have that much energy.
Just imagine if he keeps playing the game and has a keen interest in it, he could possibly be AAA songs by the time he hits 10-12 years old. When I first started moving up to heavy mode, and trying 8-9 footers when I played a lot of these songs for the first time I usually got D's on them but I had a good groups of friends that gave me inspiration to get better. I can now A to AA most songs that I try except for the ten footers.
I just don't really understand why people would insult this kid, he obviously has skill for a person of his age, and I personally don't think its the most amazing thing I've ever seen DDR/ITG related, but I still think its recognizable accomplsihment especially for the kid in particular.
Imagine if some of the people in this forum, who had the had harsh words toward this boy actually said these things to him face to face, it would of made him do two things:
1.) It would give him more inspiration to actually try to be better, so this person would practice and practice until he could start A'ing some ten footers.
OR
2.) He would be so upset, and so depressed that he would think the game is stupid, and give up he game entirely because some people couldn't respect what he referred to as his own person accomplishment.
I personally think the second experience would be the more realistic experience.
We're all a very devoted and a very close community and no matter who you are, or what skill level your at, I still think you should be respected for playing the game as long as you give the game itself and the players who play it a respectful attitude.
I think slowpoke summed it up best, even though I wouldn't use the same harshness that this person did, but thats just that person's way of expressing themselves.

Deep down, all the power to this 6 year old, and I hope you keep playing the game and make the most out of it in every possible way. _________________

I do PR for a campaign called Get Kids In Action. We love Ryota but we would take this kid, too. |

That boy is pretty good. I'm not impressed about his stamina. I'm impressed that has the patience and concentration to practice enough to do a hard song like that. He's going to save DDR someday. lol You should try and teach him crossovers though. _________________
