I would say the BNS Fusion if money was a problem but since you can get a CF, go for it.

If you are into modding, get a TX-1000 or 2000 and mod its sensor system completly. ITs cheaper, but if you dont want to do modding, get a CF

The CF supports me just peachily.

But you've also got 80lbs on me.

A friend of mine is a little bigger then you and he plays on a TX4000 and it works just fine. You can get one from lik-sang.com for about $210 counting shipping.

I'm 250 Ibs, and CF works fine for me. I went through several other pads that broke after a few months becuase of my weight, but I've been happy with the CF thus far.

I saw a video (on Gamefaqs, I believe) in which these kids put a CF in the middle of the road and had about 4 cars run over it, then brought it back in the house and AAed Holic. So yeah, I'd assume you'd be fine.

Cobalt Flux

Save yourself the heartache of dealing with other crappy pads and just step up.

Be aware that(as you are 6' I'm asuming you have larger feet two) you might have problems registering three buttons at once, it's not a problem if you are playing ITG but be sure to turn OFF dance play in the options menu.

The Best metal pad for you is getting one of the lowest price metal pad and modify it.

Do not buy off ebay since warranty is usually 10days to 15 days.

you do not want to spend $100 on a metal pad with 2 weeks warranty.

my recommendation is getting this:

http://www.mymybox.com/ddrmt6.html for $119.99. This is on sale so you are getting a good deal. then Get a plywood from OSH or HomeDepot for $15.00. This would be the best money you ever spend on the metal pad under $150.

sensativity on MT6 is great, but it is little bit fleemzy. so you must have get a plywood.

I'm a pretty big guy (6'5 and 210 pounds) and I've gone through lots of soft pads. Depsite my annoyance with it's fanboys, I'm going to buy a cobalt flux, as it's the only metal pad with a solid, time tested reputation.

I'm bigger and seem to be doing well on a tx-4000. I bought two of those rather than on CF...though I really want a CF.

I'm sitting at about 6'3" and 280 and my cobalt flux works fine. Granted, I'm only up to doing about 5-6 footers, but it seems to be very solid, and I've had it since January.

As long as it's on a completely flat & hard surface, they can. But if you are that heavy and are going to be using a CF on any kind of carpeted surface, you NEED to make a base mod for your pad. I noticed two 12-inch hairline cracks across the base of mine only after a couple months of playing on carpet, so I made a plywood cradle for it sit in. Probably would have cracked my flux in half too if I didn't make one.

Here's some pics of mine:

somehow, i can't quite believe the cars running over a CF and it still working perfectly. My local LAN gaming center has 2 CFs that worked great about a year ago and now the cencors are starting to get less and less responsive, to the point where its VERY hard to play.

maybe its because of spilt pops, maybe its because of all the dirt in them.

all i know is that i dont think that it could survive being ran over 5 times...unless the old CF models were better. Because my LAN center has the newer ones that have the start and select buttons on the control box.
