Yes, if they can get 100% on Command.

Yeah, almost all of the highest scorers bar rape and use high speeds. C'mon, look at the ITG Nationals. 90%+ were high speed bar rapists.
I'm not too awesome at ITG yet. My hard scores are all high double stars and triple stars though. SUP BAR. SUP SPEED. SUP NORCAL IS BETTER THAN YOU (except if your name is DukAmok). |
SUP GAY.
those high scores are a result of playing like that. You take all the energy, work, and skill out of it. |

And you want us to take this seriously?

maby not 80 but definetly 90% I don't see why you wouldn't take me seriously on that. Im starting to think that they should somehow have a bonus score for the person who dosent use the bar in the arcade. I don't know how the machine would recognize this but it's just a thought....you see i'm not completly against using the bar..hell even my hero uses it, his name is Ryan, he qualified for the NAT 05 but couldn't make it for some reason...I see him alot at the mall in the arcade but the thing is he only bars for songs 11+ i can understand that and i accept this. But i just think it's unreasonable to be barring 9 footers... unless you have a major balence issue.... |

And here is the problem that can never be solved... anyone thats good enough with bar doesn't care what you think and anyone that isn't that good is going to agree with you just so they can think they are better then somone using the bar |

After all, Mike Q. and Kevbo suck because they use the bar....
...oh wait, Kevbo and Mike have TRIPLE STARRED SUMMER!!!! But after all, that's not impressive. ANYONE could do that with a bar.
*cough* |
wow that's amazing.
Actually no it's not. What would be amazing is someone doing that without a bar. |

The only things I can't pass no bar is pandy ex, euphoria, hotn, and vertex. I've passed delirium for the first time no bar just recently with around 78% compared to 96.11 with bar. So much harder without a bar. |

Check out Mike Quaintance's groovestats under the name "Lil Q (no bar)". While he's "only" got a star on Summer, he's got some tripstars on some 11s, and some other pretty good scores. Without the bar, he's still better than 94% of the people on Groovestats without even trying that hard (most of those scores are sightreads). _________________

Hmm...
What do you think is more impressive, Remember December 0.25x scroll no bar 92.xx (Stepmania), or Remember December 3x bar 94.xx?
Without any bias, I think my 92.xx is more impressive, but I'd have to say that my friend who 94.xx'd it is better... _________________

Lol...of course you're going to assume your score is better because YOU got it, but either way I've solved this topic.

YEAH!!! I'm so happy! Today I passed Vertex ex. with an 88.?%, no bar . And it was my 1st try! I also 96.?% charlene no bar today! My Charlene score WITH THE BAR was lower! And 94% on Utopia! See, I pretty much always play with bar on 11s and up. But not today! _________________

No.
You're jealous that people have been able to capitalize on something that's there in front of them. If you play better by double stepping, good for you! If you play better with the bar, good for you!
Energy, work, and skill are still present. Being able to use the bar is also a skill. _________________

Energy, work, and skill ARE still present. I'm quite sure it takes close to the same amount of skill to play bar or no bar. The main difference for myself when I use the bar is that I don't get tired. I find it more fun if I play songs when I'm not tired so I use the bar. Plus, I have enough energy to focus on FA on songs near the end when I'm not tired due to bar use. So while Energy, Work, and Skill are present, it is true that it requires less energy - at least for me, and most people I know.
So I'm not saying baruse is bad or anything - I use it all the time - I'm just saying that it does assist in gameplay. There's no doubt about that.

Good point. On to the debating whether or not taking a sip of water in the middle of a course is cheating or not -_- As far as I'm concerned, as long as tournaments allow baruse I'm gonna keep using it to assist myself in attaining scores. The only time I really don't use the bar is when I don't care about my game anymore. _________________

Xuxa, Utopia, and Charlene are the hardest songs I can do without the bar. _________________

I still get tired from playing a lot with the bar. Instead of only your legs and feet getting tired, your upper body and arms do too. Thus, bar raping sort of works out your entire body.
I get tired nonetheless. I play alot of expert songs and I'll usually be tired. Often times that's why I don't have a lot of expert songs cleared. I could do them but I just give up when I have a full life bar because I am getting tired and I don't want to wear myself because I know I have more songs and games to play. I don't BS songs either. _________________

Exactly. I'm REALLY starting to get tired of everyone thinking that the bar takes the fun out of it and makes it not as cool or not like real danceing. I mean if it werent sitting there, waiting to be raped (... ) ON EVERY SINGLE MACHINE OUT THERE!!!, I could understand. Also, once you really get into the game and get alright at it, you are no longer tring to dance, but tring to beat highscores and get competitive. _________________

It is. It's not our fault that we are able to capitalize on what's there in front of us. _________________
