I cant wait for Beatmania to be released in English biggrin.gif
I've seen vids, and it looks like a hell of alotta fun ,I think that it will help me on reading 300+ bpm on ddr

I hope the english version has:
A
AA
Quickening

wow, wouldn't that be cool

Well A was in DDREX US, and Quickening in EX2, so those are likely candidates for inclusion in beatmania US. (as are most of the other beatmania/IIDX-to-DDR crossovers that've appeared lately.)

i'm sure this is verry unlikely, but it would be sweet if they put G2 in this game

The only criterium they seem to be following for this release is that there's relatively more old songs than others.

There doesn't really seem to be a penchant for going towards songs that have been in DDR games already. For every PARANOiA MAX and Mobo*Moga, you have your Digital MinD and M-02stp.ver1.01. It's a pretty even split.

True, I'm just saying those 'bm/IIDX-to-DDR' songs are just as likely to show up since they've already got notepatterns/videos anyway. (well except the 5-key stuff, which will probably have generic vids.)

I've seen a pic somewhere on IGN that shows Metal Gear Solid Theme having its own video. Other than that, the rest of the 5 keys might be generic.

I'll get it (Read ask for it for my birthday) because

A: I also like 5key BM (5th mix was my first game) and there are some songs that I can play that are in Appends (or out of Best Hits's crappy timing, such as ska a go go desyncing itself on the second set of 1+5 then 3 8th note chains).

B: Konami disabled the FLAW with playing IIDX controllers on 5 key mixes (Instead of using the left 5 keys on the right side it uses the right 5 keys).

C: for the new music (although the Boldo/Bamboo wannabe in Celebration might through me off when he appears)

MDR
I'm sick of V. Please do go away in RED, although there is that high possibility of it returning. Also, one get it for the win!

I reserved this game yesterday. I've only played beatmania once (it was Beatmania III), but it was fun, and also hard, but mostly fun. It'll be good to play it at home, because in the arcade it's as loud as the DDR machine, which makes your mistakes all the more noticable...

Of all those songs, 23 of them have officially debuted in US DDR games (possibly 24, depending on which cut Virtual Insanity is), with an extra few that have been in DDR, just not in the US yet. (Mr. T. (take me higher), jam jam reggae, SKA a go go).

And assuming that's the entire, 100% list, consider me satisfied. Plenty of 7-Key favorites from the past to keep me busy, as well as some AWESOME 5-Key stuff I've never played. It's a good, well-rounded line-up for a beginning, leaving plenty of stuff in the song pool for plenty of excellent sequels. I guess my only qualm is a complete lack of 7th Style debuts, but whatever. Still a great list.

Well if this is the complete list, call it a winner, but if it's not the whole list yet, consider it OMG HOLY. I can't wait to get my hands on this game and play it untill my fingers don't exist.

Oh by the way, this game looks good.

ska a go go

SKA A GO GO!

Well, truck! Interesting choice of when to put this song. Eager much, Konami, to expose newbies to the evils of the Ska a go go. Though I thought that it was a 7key song too. And nice job on choosing the song with the most Schlagwerk notechart and timing: Manmachine plays jazz.

Ok I got it, and the results weren't good - they remapped the keys so it was unplayable with a KOC.

No, you just cant use the IIDX controller with the demo. Im pretty sure it has been confirmed that you can use the old KOC.

That's goofy as hell. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things can be remapped if the KOC is not "initially" compatible with BM USA. (I really need to get more simfiles on my computer...)

Well, considering nobody in the US is "supposed" to have the KOC already, it makes sense to have it dual shock only.

ska a go go and Jam Jam Reggae... that's great. E1.gif

And Love So Groovy! I just played that on Stepmania, and I really like it. Speaking of which, do beatmania songs have backgrounds/banners? 'Cause the Love So Groovy DDR one was really weird.
