Thanks a lot for the tips. I'm glad to hear you're able to play the game with no problems. I didn't realize some of the PS2 games are CD based. I assume your mod is actually a chip. I'll look up that info. I thought I'd see if I could get away with the simplest mod. If copying the game doesn't work, I may consider a chip.
Thanks,
J |

Remember not to use your DVD swap magic, but instead use your CD based Swap Magic. You shouldn't even have to recopy the Party Collection disc. All purple means is that its a CD. |

Thanks for tip, Kalek. It works! I've only been using the DVD swap magic disc since moding my PS2 so I forgot about the other disc. Than did the trick!
Thanks again,

Are there any shops that sell America games in English £s?
And also is the Swap Magic any good? |

I'm not clear on your first question, but swap magic has worked fine for me. I'm using v3.6. |

That I don't know. I've only used it with PS2 games. |

I have Swap Magic 2 and I can't seem to get PS2 CD based games to load on my fliptop-modded PS2. I've tried both disks (trying the CD one first obviously cause that would make the most sense). I want to be able to play stuff like DDR Max JP though. DVDs work just fine. Any suggestions on what might be? _________________

i'm more of a reader than a poster, so this is my first post. i hope that's not a problem.
i own a refurbished old model of the ps2, as well as the swapmagic 3.6 set from psxtune.com. i managed to wreck my old ps2 merely a week before the extended warranty expired, so i want to ensure that i have detailed instructions before i proceed to take anything apart again. the expansion slot (i think that's what it's called, anyway) has been removed, so i hope that doesn't further complicate installation. basically, what i need is a thorough, elaborated version of "swap and slide."
... that's really all i can say to explain my predicament. i've looked up various installation manuals online, but i figured i'd see if any of your replies matched those for reliability before attempting anything.
thanks in advance. |

Hook your PS2's HDD up to your PC and dump Party Collection with WinHIIP. |

Several CD games have issues with HDLoader. They are not present in ToxicOS so it could be a TOC problem. _________________

I was playing Beatmania IIDX9th mix using Harddrive Advance 2.0
I was playing it fine. Until a Black Screen Appear, whats up with that ? I Burn it using DVD Decrypter and DVD+R TDK.
Be the way, I'm using the old BIG PS2...
What's the point of using HDAdvance when I have the modchip?
Well, I don't like switching games everytime I want to play something new.
OH
What is this modchip called for XBOX(NOT360)
That let me save games(Duh),DVD Movies,Pictures ETC....
Sorry If this not allowed to be talked about. |

Should Swap Magic 3.6 work with IIDX 10th? And what is the magic switch for? Or do I need a modchip w/swap magic? I really don't have money or time to solder my PS2 and I just want to find the simplest way to play an import. |

What is this magic switch you speak of?
And with swap magic I'm pretty sure you don't have to solder your ps2.
But IIDX 10th should work with Swap Magic. _________________
