This is really cool. I am going to mod my PS2 for this awhile after Beatmania USA comes out.

PS - I have an old PS2. Should I get a flip-top mod for that, or buy a slimline PS2 and mod that? (No chips...)

I'd say do the fliptop. It's not that difficult. And besides, you'd have to open up the slim PS2 as well in order to put all the lid switch covers in place.

I've gotten all but two (DDR Ex and Pop'N Music 8) from PlayAsia, I got 7th, 9th and 10th Style and a controller from PlayAsia, and I think I got Pop'N Music 9 and 10 from them as well. I strongly reccomend them.
