machine location code addition

lets face it, ddrfreak is more than ddr. shouldn't the mahine locations be more than ddr as well?

ive been to a few arcades that have some type of bemani game, but not ddr. i really want to let other people know about its location, but i cant list it in a new location here because an arcade has to have a ddr machine to get a listing.

it was easy enough to add machine location code for itg machines, why not have the same code for the rest of the rhythm games? each machine has its own line, with details about price and condition of play. it makes more sense than haveing placeholders (example, example) that people "know not to delete".

please think it over, its an easy mod. and it would help clean up the machine locations a little bit.

First off, "placeholders that people know not to delete" is not a good idea at all. We do not want people to go to locations expecting to play a game of DDR only to find that it's not there though people said it is. If you don't like the way we do things, that's fine, but please don't populate it with false data.

Second, is this strictly about PIU?

We may be about more than DDR, but the fact is we *are* still DDR Freak and we *are* still primarily oriented around dancing games, so I don't see this changing anytime soon.

well i havent come across any situations other than a piu replacing a ddr, but it could potentially stretch across to other games, for example, one hotel in frankenmuth is considering getting rid of ddr and keeping their popn.

but as an example, if a location takes on a piu machine for a while and stores their ddr somewhere or sells it, then that location is deleted. if they decide later to bring back a ddr machine, then the location has to be scouted out again, or may have already slipped under the radar and been forgotten.

youre right, this is a ddr site, and if a arcade doesnt have ddr, its of little importance to the majority of this site.

but think about it. ddrfreak has the most comprehensive listing for dance machines that ive ever seen. wouldnt you want it to be all-encompassing, to be the most complete listing of bemani available?

you dont need to know where every orange tree is, people will add new trees to the listings as they come across them. and im sure you didnt know where every machine was when you was start this clan, the list grew over time. im not asking for ddrfreak 2.0, just adding a few games into the machines list. and maybe color coding them. maybe. later.

i really think this is a good idea.

thers already listings about other bemani machines in the machine locations, anywhere a ddr machine is found, the bemani in the same arcade is listed. you can find it under "other bemani", just above the ddr machine's listing.

but if theres an arcade with bemani and no ddr, then i think it should also be listed. thats what im trying to have happen anyways.
