Ahhhh, that reminds me of this 11ish year old kid that 99.84'd Walking on Fire on ITG2 Expert the other day.

Your son is the ultra 1337.

Well!? My video is nothing exciting. dj ryc3 knows how bad my play is. Hey, dj, please comment on this! If I upload my play, it is just my shame...

Well let me join the parade! Your kid is OUTSTANDING!

My 16mo kid has been exposed to DDR for over a year. She now dances on her own pad but obviously cannot "play" yet.

I wouldn't say you're bad. I've actually seen worst. I'm horrible on heavy but I'm better than most people. I wouldn't mind you uploading my video you recorded at Japan arcade. E10.gif

Sounds like she likes the game. It should be good to her! Because Ryota can do it, your baby can do it within a few years!

dj ryc3, you're very godd DDR player. And many other game, too. Your play amazed Ryota. He still says about you.

Well, kids tends to learn faster than adults. Their brains are like sponges. So, if you put their mind into it; they'll do it and learn it really well. E13.gif I'm surprise Ryota still talks about me. heh. I wouldn't mind meeting up with you both again. Maybe this time I'll go down there whenever I get my drivers license. E13.gif

She was quite excited to see Ryota's videos. Every time I started a new one she would stand up and start stepping along. She even clapped at the end.

Then I showed her a Yasu video and she was bored.

Ryota >> Yasu . . . at least to kids that don't speak in complete sentences. E4.gif

dj ryc3,
Yes, why we don't meet sometime again! And he is playing songs according to your list now. He made full-combo in two songs on heavy (not AA but A). I'll upload them soon.

CrazyBabyDoc,
Ryota is glad to hear your daughter enjoyed. I'm glad, too. Thanks!!

BTW, just I uploaded his new video. This is final one before we met with dj ryc3.

Wow, I thought Afronova's jumps might be too much for him, but that little guy sure can move. I seriously didn't expect him to get those jumps. I can't wait to see his heavy videos.

shocked.gif HOLY COW!!! shocked.gif That is one really amazing 5-yr-old there. I've never seen a child that young do DDR that well. When did he start doing that, when he was first able to walk? That kid's got some real talent there.

Give it some time...at that age, they haven't quite developed foot-eye coordination yet...atleast not very well...just give it some more time...she will get it.

Thanks for the advice . . . but I really am a doctor. I specialize in developmental and psychiatric disorders in children. My research group completed a DDR study in sixty 7-8yo kids last Spring. I've actually pushed it down to 5yo (my PI's daughter) but I expect my kid to be the true master.

I expect her to be fluent in four languages by age 4:
1) English
2) Spanish
3) Sign (ASL)
4) DDR

Thanks guys!!

eruda,
He started to play DDR 1 and half year ago. I didn't force him to play. Just he wanted.
When he was baby, he liked to try to stand up. I think his first walk was 10 mos. This is earlier than his younger brother.
