This made me laugh when it happened to me, I thought others might have the same reaction along with any warning that can be brought from the situation
I ordered a couple of Innex Inc.'s metal dance pads for Christmas. They were listed at $25, with shipping like...$75ish, I think (eBay.) One of the pads arrived with two of the four middle bolts ripped out of the wood (if you could call it wood - "glorified cardboard" may be a better term.) One of the control boxes went bad, too, so I emailed Innex about both of these issues.
They offered to exchange the control box. What they said about the bolts was the funny part: They couldn't do anything about it, but if I purchased glue from a hardware store and glued the bolts back in, then scanned the receipt and sent it to them, they'd reimburse me for the cost of the glue
Funny, in a horrible sorta way.
The bolts were easily taped down, and it was okay for a while, but when I tried the pad a few days ago it wasn't working. It'd been against the wall for a while, tho, so maybe it hadn't been working and I'd just forgotten. The other pad stopped working when the sticky foil sensor got too smushed down and wouldn't register anymore. I folded the sensor over to make it stand out more, but that made the sensor area way smaller, so I tried aluminum foil, but that was too sensitive, then my bird chewed the cord off of the pad, so all my problems were solved
Oh well, ordered a CF off of eBay. Hopefully that won't be a waste of $300 like the Innex Inc. endeavor was. Cept that was $200. Whatever.
These two pads are trash now, if they weren't before...what should I do with them? I suppose they could be fixed up, but I don't want them. It seems like a shame to just toss 'em, but I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?

Just fix them enough so they work, and give them to one of your friends who play _________________

You should buy out an entire hardware store of glue, just a giant mountain of the stuff, needs to be hauled around by flatbed trucks and train cars. Then scan the billion dollar receipt and send it to them, when they refuse to reimburse you, sue them, then sell their company to RO, or CF so they have one less competitor to condend with. Wow, I'm way too imaginative. For the crapads, you should crucify them one a wall in your room to remind you never to buy crap again. |

I was actually using the broken Cbox to see if the ripped-bolts pad worked
It does, so I guess I'll hold on to it. The other pad...well...scrap & parts...cause my bird chewed the cord off. Totally. There's not even half an inch of cord stump sticking out of the pad to work with.
I thought the CF I got off eBay was gonna get here today...but I have to wait til tomorrow
Owell, I don't have an adapter for it yet anyway. I'm guessing I'll have at least a week to play Clean the Pad until I get one.
