I play with no pants on. E1.gif

No, my biggest quirk is saying any bad word known to man if I do badly on a song. Even with small children present.

Fun part is doing Kakumei on Oni, and doing the first jump, jumping off the pad, and saying "Yes!!!! I got a perfect!!!!". People look at me strangely, or the didder players call me an idiot. E1.gif

Let's see here.

Instead of doing "invisible steps" like a lot of other people, I actually tend to snap my fingers to keep rhythm. Particularly before a song starts.

Especially if a song ends on a jump, I do the "lift arms way up almost involuntarily and then relax them" thing, so they swing back and forth for a bit.

I mutter stuff when I'm going for PA and hit a great. It (usually) doesn't even hit PG-13 territory; usually more like "GAAAH, Geez."

I've done the "sing along mid-song" thing too.

I constantly forget what speed I do a song on. So I'll sit on the speed mods for about 7 seconds trying to remember what speed I did it on last time.

When I mess up on a song (usually a lot now that I'm doing 9s and 10s) I tend to miss 5-6 arrows because I'm staring at the screen trying to catch up with the arrows. All while I tap my right heel to the beat, I don't even try to, it's like my foot doesn't want to stop moving so it keeps going.

I sweat like I'm in a sauna and when I finish a "hard set" (a hard set for me would be heavy: Rhythm and Police then heavy: Exotic Ethnic and finally heavy: Burning Heat) I stumble off the pad clutching my right chest because my lung deels like someone is squeezing it in their hand. People come over and ask if I'm okay and one time they even ran over because they thought I was about to fall over unconsious. Then like 5 minutes later I'm fine.

One quirk I have is letting out an S-bomb when I get a good on a song I know I can FC. Also, an AWFUL score usually deserves the bird.

Whenever I pass a hard catastrophic or a 10-footer (with the exception of bag), I usually let out a loud "WOOHOO!" and it ALWAYS screws up the pool players' shots.

Sing to the songs I like and know the lyrics, flail my arms out with every step so I've hit people a few times, lift my knees too high when dancing a slow song.

well i tend to usually hop up and down and stand on the tip of my toes to stretch out and play. when it comes to playing my songs i tend to look around and wait a couple of seconds and start. that usually happens when im in a public place with alot of people around...aka.........i felt like showing off E1.gif

when people arent around i tend to score better in songs becuz when people are around i tend to get nervous and f up alot.

yeh........im a geek

I think "the claw" is a pretty common quirk actually. I've seen alot of people at the arcade do that, it's usually newer players on light and standard, trying really hard to pass and get good scores. I myself don't usually do it unless I'm concentrating and trying to get a AA/AAA. But at that point, I don't just get "the claw" I turn into a hunch back and move only very slightly and like a robot, instead of fluidly.

If my balls were on my feet I wouldn't play DDR.

NO PAIN NO GAIN

Anyways, at the arcade when there's a long stream I usually just move my body and my head just doesn't move. Then, when I play doubles, I sometimes try to put in a random spin or something like that whenever I feel like it

I once caught a pair of handcuffs off of this girls pants as she was about to AAA Max 300 on heavy. You have to understand that these were almost the same thing as police ones. (obviously, they had piece-o-shit locks...) I had a mark on my face for a week.

Oh, BTW, She lost the AAA as she heard me start screaming at her for leaving them on.

I played in that arcade alot...noone there was even close to being able to AAA Max 300.

Especially not the girls that wear alot of chains on their pants.

If I'm getting really annoyed with pad misses at the arcade, or just the corner buttons in Ex1, I'll start making up new obscene lyrics to the songs, flipping the bird to the game every time I jump, or whatnot.

But when I'm just trying to amuse myself, pelvic thrusts are always fun.

Speed mods...heh. I drive my friends crazy when I stick any of the Max songs on 1.5 or 2x.

Also, my arms tend to flail quite a bit. I think it's some sort of half assed subconscious attempt from my brain to freestyle. I probably look like a very "special" person though.
