Zero GET (in Washington). The songs don't stand out as much compared to DDR/ITG (the machine is a little too quiet until we get everything in the arcade balanced better... but they still never seem quite as catchy). I didn't get too good of an idea of what all I can pass, but stuff in the 14-16 range actually throw out some patterns I can't follow (16+ throw out harder patterns at speeds I can barely keep up with). That one extra panel changes a lot in terms of availible patterns, and they definite figured out how to use it since Prex3 (our machine was upgraded from a Prex3, it had been in storage until about a month ago).
PIU and an ITG2 Dedicab in one arcade equals pain. The whole 9 hours straight at the arcade last night probably didn't help. _________________

I play the game, we don't have Zero... just the fantastic Premiere 2 and the lame PREX3.... Zero has a nice songlist as far as I can tell... and I disagree with the post above... the songs are catchy... It's just some people tend to bend toward one genre of music instead of multiple like me. |

Tsuri, you got it GOLDEN in your area then. Just hang on to that premiere 2 for DEAR LIFE and get the PREX3 up to X2 or zero. _________________

Never, ever, ever played in my life, but I'd REALLY like to try once, so I hope one appears near us.
It'll be sad...I'll be going from 85%ing Hardcore of the North and AA'ing Maxx Unlimited to failing easy songs on PIU, but i'd definitely want to try something new. XD
Here's to the revival of PIU. *raises glass* _________________

I tried Exceed 2 once... it was the most confused I've been in my life. I just stood there trying to figure out what the heck was up with the layout. Enventually I picked a song, and I guess I picked the wrong difficulty because it was insanely hard, and I sucked. I failed in about 10 seconds and never put another dime into that machine.
If I can figure out what I'm doing on Zero i'd like to try it out. I really can't afford the CS version of Exceed right now. |

C'mon, I live in Mexico and there's no where to play PIU, besides at home...

come pay me a visit whenever you want... there´s no arcade without a PIU machine
and if you travel a little into southern Mexico you won´t be able to find a single DDR machine _________________

Actually I think pumps songs stand out the most from the other 2. It has alot more genres to offer than just happy hardcore and techno. Like the other guy said. Hold on to that premiere 2 machine for dear life and upgrade the prex 3 to zero.

Let me tell you right now that your in for some good times. 5 panel has ALOT more to offer and if you ever get to Nightmare...its the furkin funnest thing ever. This is the game that had hands first so you know the charts are fun. I dont understand you about the revival of pump? DDR/ITG is only popular still in like little parts of europe and the U.S. The rest of the world HAS BEEN PLAYING pump. Its not a revival...trust me.

The exceed interface is actually quite nice IMO. Its easy to understand and navigate. You just need to play more than once and youll get it by the 3rd time tops..

Indeed, Exceed is pretty easy to figure out. I had only played PIU The O.B.G. before Exceed, and I figured out Exceed in a couple of plays. The most confusing interface for me personally was PIU Perfect Collection, which I played after Exceed. Not fun.
On the subject of Zero, the closest place to me that has PIU, Dave and Buster's, hasn't gotten Zero yet. Ah well, I can wait. I don't have a car at the moment plus I'm pretty bad at PIU. =P But I really want to play Zero anyway! >_< |

There's an Easy(Cutesy/Panzy) mode in Zero. It instructs you on how to use the interface and play the game. _________________

Pump style still looks the best out of all the Dance games IMO. DDR:SN looks sweet though... ITG just looks like Frankenstein's monster! (It's too boxy D=) |
