By the begining of the month a new iteration for the Pump It Up game was released at the arcades, Pump It Up Zero. Including a 128 song selection between new, old and previously console-only songs, it also includes a new interface with video previews, new Mission System, Reward System with 50 reward items and a new Easy difficulty for those starting on the PIU world. Internet Ranking is still there so you can upload your achievements and compare to pumpers around the world.

<Points to signature>

Although, using "Zero" in the title is really stupid.

Now, if the place near me upgrades to ITG2 and PIU: Zero, that would be a totally awesome setup

Rather than analyze this post, I will simply quote it and let everyone else figure it out.

I hope this comes to an arcade somewhere in the dallas-ft worth area. The only PIU I've ever played confused me so badly with its interface that I couldn't figure out which songs I wanted to play or what difficulty they were on or what. Not sure which mix it is, buts its the one at the Main Event in Plano if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

Go to your local D&B!

For the people bashing PIU. If you have nothing good to say about PIU but only to come in here bashing GTFO and Id suggest you stop being a nub.
This isnt a DDR vs. PIU thread...im surprised that they didnt warn everybody about that since its bound to happend anyway... it always does. disturb.gif

Once the arcade owners start to get their acts together, and finally realize that i'm not just whoreing them for my health, then i'll be happier than ever once we get some new system here in Auburn Hills/Clarkston disturb.gif

I wish the local arcades would put a PIU machine for once...

C'mon, I live in Mexico and there's no where to play PIU, besides at home...

I just don't like the middle button in PIU. Played it about five times and didn't like one experience of it. Songs were okay, nothing too astounding. Not bashing it cause there's nothing to bash.

Eh, each to their own. It took me a while to get used to the middle, but after a while, you figure it out. Watch other people and see how they position themselves while playing and use the middle button.

jbean: get over it, there are some arcades that received their Zero kits on the same day. My friend installed his kit on the same day you posted your brag. It's just a game. Who gives a rat's @$$ who installed it first?

And for whatever reason, many d&b's do not have Zero yet.

But if you haven't played Zero yet, the new version is a good reason to play. Andamiro did a whole lot more experimenting with stepcharts, tempo changes, and patterns, some of the new patterns are absolutely fun as shi+.
