Big deal, I'm sure you can find decent compatible lights that are just as nice or better.

Anyway, building a metal pad would be cool, but unfortunately i don,t know a whole lot about circuitry and all that jazz.

CCFL are all over, you just have to find those 4" ones. Look around, prices varies with even the same product. In term of circuit, you would have to put more thoughts in it. Oh, and you need to buy thick plexiglass.

yes i realize that.. but you cant find 4" double packs for cheap.

In reality it'd just be cheaper to buy em from the UK... if i didnt have to pay shipping.

There was a bug in the early versions of the TX2000 Controlbox for XBOX.

Old Version:

New Version:

I've never seen a "new" Controlbox that died.

im sry, there are still a few problems. the alu frame is too much work, the feet are not protected enough (edge of one foot didnt keep at pad, need to find another material, there seem to be some differences between some rubber foam kinds)
still some probs with the cables, there are too many, and seems asif mayflash dont want to sell me some controlboxes which support xbox , ps and usb, all in one E1.gif
the ps buttons are not that easy, dont know where to add them, both front edges cannot be buttons, otherwise the front button wont be possible to feel. and it happens to cancel a song if you are trained to step beween the buttons to keep perseverance.
and sry, had to do some half year examination papers, now the typical 5-15 hours study day is waiting, and there is an arcade on freeplay, just 30 minutes away E1.gif beginning next month ccna 1 exam, but k, ill try to carry on, if you have some single questions about building a pad, just ask, but until there is a tutorial for a nearly perfect pad, it will surely take more than a few weeks, im sry

i've seen a number of designs and will probably mix different ideas together if i do make one.. but i have a request, the same thing as others.. is it possible for you to either show plans you used, or maybe, parts, ideas, etc. like, what foam or other device you use to reset the switch when no foot is on it.

i like your switch and light idea, and if starting from scratch, it doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to add the other PSX buttons.. i would probably use the control box type thing from an old soft pad than buy one or use a controller..

ok, sry for waiting that long time.
some tests required some time. but now nearly all is ready.
a building plan with 'explosion images' and detailed howto information is nearly ready.
because of waiting too long, ice decided to put a first tutorial up. will post the link soon.
need to do a few more pics, and read the text one more time, talk to my dad about some more easy instructions of how to prepare parts, and an english translation.

sry to still have to wait a bit, but dont worry, if its puplic, there hardly will be any more problems.

Dude, Im SO syched to see these plans. Im starting to wonder if I should save up and look into making one of these my self. But over300$ is a... troublesome price for me. AND I don't know if I could build this my self.

You had better have some GOOD plans with ALOT of pics!
