footwear help

what should i wear to protect my feet(so i dont get blisters) when playing ddr? i dont have time to read the 70 page sticked thread and i dont think theres any kind of agreement going on in there anyway.

keepin it short...
-using good metal pads
-at home(wearing something embarassing is ok)
-nothing thats difficult to buy
-used to wearing socks
-shoes are too loud
-songs on hardest difficulty
-play for about 2 hours at a time

You don't have to read all 70 pages of the sticky. Just look at the most recent 3 pages and see what shoe/brand is mentioned the most.

EDIT: I did it for you. Nike running shoes, K-Swiss and Vans seem to be the most popular brands.

I ahvent tried it, but if you're serious about good shoes for dancing then you could always invest in some actual dancing shoes, which are very lightweight and comfortable. My cousin suggested this (he does a lot of theater stuff) and although i admitit is a good idea, it's just not my thing, you know?
