Hey! I'm glad I found this place, so I could chat with other DDR obsessed people. I've been playing DDR since a friend of mine gave me a copy of konamix and a pad years ago. I played that until I managed to get a hold of DDRMax2. Now I'm getting into Extreme 2 and diggin' the newer songs. I think some of my favorite songs overall are Cartoon Heroes, Speed Over Beethoven, Tsugaru, Break Down, and Paranoia Survivor. I play mainly on light mode. xD
So what's up, everyone? |

Funny isn't it? I don't get to play as often as I should and I have terrible coordination! I can play a few songs on standard mode and some challenge songs, though.
But it's not how well you play, but how much fun you're having, right? |

I don't know about you guys, but my fun is inversely proportional to the number of non-Perfects/Marveli I get. _________________

How often do you play DDR? And if you play it a lot, do you ever try to win on Standard Mode?
EDIT: Nevermind, you don't play often and you sometimes go for Standard. _________________

*rolls eyes* C'mon guys-
Peony's right. It really isn't WHAT you can do, but HOW MUCH FUN you're having. Why do most people play DDR anyway? For fun. Gah.
Bring back freestyling! woo haha |

Not a total chat-worthy place, but ah...
I gotta say, challenging yourself with this game is fun. Doesn't mean you have to try to be perfect, but ah, that's just me...
Also, I luff your avatar. Yay for Alice!! _________________

I'm only having fun when I'm improving. Every other time, I am severely frustrated.
If I play without the mindset of going for score (which happens probably once every 50 sets or so) then I could possibly have fun. |

Well, I guess that's true. _________________

If you can play any songs on Challenge, you should probably be able to beat some 5's or 6's on Heavy. _________________

I totally agree; I was just stating what makes the game personally fun for me.
I love cheering on a newbie just as much as the next person. Gogo learning. |

See - I remember being on Light and Standard mode - I knew there were a lot of songs I couldn't pass - but I had a really fun time playing the easier stuff.
Now it's like I feel pressured to be good and do harder Heavy songs. So the fun factor goes down.
I'm just really worried what's going to happen when I get too good to play on Light7 on IIDX. _________________

I have been playing since 2001, and I didnt get too serious until mid 2002. Few months later I started going on to trick/standard.
YOu dont have to play as "ZOMG SUPER HEAVY AAAAAAAA". _________________
