Seriously, WTF is up with the 4th pic. That looks like some deformed Bamboo (from Popn) that decided to grow a pointed (albeit exaggerated) beard. Definately it seems new. My pass odds however went down a bit because of that friggen guy.
Can anyone ID the notechart w/ the IIDX Trance 5 video (#3 for reference)?
#1 reminds me of Luv to Me. but I haven't seen any overlays like that in the Disco Mix in 6th Style. I have no friggen clue on #2 or 5. Maybe they're the brand new songs. Or maybe #2's a video of one of the returning 5key songs (but I can't think of any 5key song that would warrent that video).
Nicely done, Reenee. Now we have more to speculate on.

Has there been any word of something like Drill Mode on this? I was thinking that certainly they wouldn't have as steep a learning curve on this as with other IIDX games.

^That is the reason why I have no desire to play 14key. Since I've heard that non-bundles are being taken off, looks like I am getting a KOC MKII (Mark 2), too. My old one will be the sacrificial Lamb for a DASC if I ever get one.
Funny thing is that I played In My Eyes on 6th Style but I forgot that video. Thanks.
ATM is one hell of an revival. I truely didn't see that one coming. At least they didn't revive the uber-offbeat Acid Bomb (though I think that the Core Remix remix is a bit more onbeat). Holic I was somewhat expecting but definately didn't see coming.
Yeah, Celebration's vid/overlays is going to distract me.
I found Snow L7 to be a fun 2hand song.

It's just that some of the song choices they picked from the IIDX games to put in this game, are surprising.
I was mainly expecting stuff from mostly 3rd style or so since IIDX at the time was much easier than now, but then I see songs from 8th and 9th style, which with their notecharts don't seem appropriate for players compltely new to beatmania. Like Bad Boy Bass, (according to bemanistyle).
For a 7 star song on 7key difficulty, it's note chart doesn't seem very beginner friendly, like they expected players to have a good amount of experience first before trying it. Same thing with Snow. Summer Vacation and Nenemis are also suprising choices to me, since they aren't that easy to pass starting out. |

I just seen the all new beatmania videos from IGN and I seen evidence of more included songs that haven't been mentioned on these boards yet. Here they are:

Count me as surprised that Bad Boy Bass and Nemesis are in there; those songs always kicks my buttocks on 7Key. Right now I'm convinced that beatmania US isn't going to be just for teh n00bies. On another note, I was afraid that any video that displayed a logo of a previous IIDX mix in any shape or form (like Colors or Starmine) would be axed. Now I know that's not the case since Colors shows its "beatmania IIDX 6th Style" logo; KOJ is acknowledging the previous IIDX mixes after all! You think that Konami is advertising for the import junkies on the side?

On the "Yep, More Scratching" video, on the part where the player is on Random on the Music Select screen, it cycles through "Jelly Kiss", "Bad Boy Bass!", "Digital MinD", etc. It also has "You Really Got Me". Just pause during the cycle, drag the bar a bit and you'll eventually see it.
