Yeah, done that. It has to be modified a little since you can't get a full-forward kick extension (since the bar's in the way) to make a perfect 90° angle -- so at best, it's better to modify it more like a "Nike" freeze.
If you catch any of the old DDRStreet vids, they do lots of L-kicks.
(FYI -- Holding the bar to perform an L-kick is one of the few times you can get away with holding a bar during a FS routine and not get razzed, since it's a tricky move.) _________________

lol. i wish the la senorita stepcharts were a little nicer, because i really want to freestyle that song (heavy little single gives a lot of empty spaces but doesn't look easy to memorize).
and sorry to whore the topic but does anybody have a video of a-jay's mobo moga? |

I had a thought the other day:
It would be pretty spiffy if there was a site on the web that had instructional videos that showed how to do DDR FS moves. You could visit it, click on a move, and a video would pop up showing you step-by-step how to perform a move, then at the end it would show a full speed use of the move. This way people could actually see the move instead of trying to understand other peoples explanations of the move. This could also reduse the frequent "how do you do [insert FS move here]", because a simple link to the site would answer. Then if someone came up with an idea for a move they could record it themselves or send a description to the site manager/owner/creator and he/she could approve or disapprove it. I think this would be a spiffy idea, but seeing as I lack webpage creating skills I thought I'd pass it along and see if anyone would wanna try it. _________________

I wonder if the DDR Freak people would do it... I think I'll go "repost" the idea in the suggestion area. _________________

I'd have to agree on this especially if you seen it in person. It's awesome. _________________

Now if the rest of the world could be honored with viewing this wonderful performance as well as some of the lost gems that were rarely or never seen

Yep, I have it. I just need to splice that portion from the 127836912731912369 MB avi. Mebbe H-Dogg or someone can cut-n-chop that bad boy up for viewing pleasure. _________________

RTF actually teased with the idea 2-3 years ago about instructional vids. But alas, no one cared... Had some great ones lined up too. _________________

Say I have an issue:
Song: D2R
Level: Light
Mods: 1.5x, Mirror
Okay that's the song and all the mods I'm using (I'm trying to learn a decent freestyle and this song just stuck out). I'm trying to learn the song on mirror so I can face the crowd the entire time (though I need work on memorizing). There's a part in the song where you hold left for 4 beats, then press down for a beat, then three beats of open space, then a hold of 4 beats on the right, down for one beat, and three open beats. For the left arrow I press with both feet, arms spread, the I lean down and press the down with either both hands, a hand, or a foot. Then for the right hold I'd like to try something where I just place my foot on it and either kick my legs up onto the bar or do some form of breakdancing stall. My problem is that I can't seem to get my body turned or my feet up by the time I need to push and hold the right arrow. Any tips, or ideas? _________________

Well it's roughly 37-38 seconds into the song and lasts 16 beats:

No, that's actually what I wanted to do on that part. A handstand would work perfect with that break in the song, my problem was that i just couldn't get turned the right way. Thanks a lot I'll try it out next time I hit the arcade! _________________
