Can there be a bit more space between them and the top set of forum links?
Twice in the past few minutes. I've tried clicking links up there and hit the Google ad instead. _________________

On the topic of ads, those HELLO screaming smiley ads absolutely have to go. If for any reason I'm sitting in silence during my didderfreak experience, I prefer to keep it that way. The first time it happened I thought I had spyware. I don't wish to presume to lecture anyone on how a website is to be run, but I somehow doubt that the general concensus on the annoyance factor here is anything less than immense. This ad harkens back to the spirit of the "Internet first-year" where people think that embedded MIDIs in webpages are really, really cool. Especially the kind you can't shut off.
Never mind that smilies are absolutely retarded anyway, animated ones moreso, and ones that talk back to you are crossing the line straight through to braindeadland. (Fact, not opinion, and all that.) Surely there's something less irritating for you guys to advertise. It's worse than seeing an entire post filled with underlined buzzwords. (Testing to see if you still can't say "Wow!" without becoming a mindless advertising drone for The Man.)
Also it'd be neat if, once on the forums, the Forums link was switched with the Song Lists link. Every damn time I get the sudden urge to ogle a stepchart, I try going back to the forums first. :p

Why hallo thar volume control. 'Sup mute all button.
It did kinda freak me out the first time, lol. I'm pretty sure DDRFreak has no control over what ads are placed, only who they advertise. Correct me if I'm wrong. They need to make bling somehow though. _________________

When those Google ads can't figure out the current page is about (happens often when viewing a profile), they just say "View ads about:" with a text field. I lol'd the first time I saw that. To me, it's like saying "hey type something here and I'll give you a bunch of sponsored links that you won't click on and are probably irrelevant!!11!"
I've never noticed the smiley ads here - do they scream when you load the page, or only when you mouse over them? I've seen those ads here and there on the Internet, and from my experience, they only bug you when you mouse over them. (I wonder who actually clicks on those things - they're obnoxious as hell...) _________________

Yeah, I don't get any of those anymore.
I use Firefox's block images option. It's quite handy. _________________
