You mean a Pop'n Navy account, right? I don't at the moment but now that you reminded me, I'll create one sometime down the road. Maybe after I recieve my ASC (the wait is unbearable so far laugh.gif ).

Hey, lookin' forward to it man! I'll probably be cosplaying as Kakashi under the alias "Afri-Kakashi" for obvious reasons lol. I'll be sure to bring my controller once it arrives (hopefully sometime this week). See ya there!

I was just here looking for pop'n 9 and saw that it was unavailable, but then I saw it again for $35 (score) but it said konami's best. Is it any different than the original or is it like Greatest Hits or Platinum hits that are usually $20?

Yes, the "Konami's Best" is like the Greatest Hits. The only difference is the cover, which has the original cover on the reverse side so you can flip it over.

"pop'n music 14: Fever" announced.

Man, the series just keeps on going. And that's a good thing.

Fever? I expected pop n 14 to be announced around this time at least before 12cs came out.

I am going to take a wild guess. Hospital Theme?

Okay another question. Do you pick the character that goes on the left side of the screen, or is it random? I was askin because I video googled pop'n, and I saw that many of the videos were done by the same guy and everytime he played, he would be that girl from White Lovers. I then saw another person play and it looked like a different version. He was playing as a dude with a green afro, a white shirt, and blue pants.

Thanks again!

P.S. Is it okay for me to be flooding this topic on the questions, or should I hold off a bit?

When you start a game on arcade mode, you can pick a character first by pressing the yellow buttons at the same time. Then use your blue buttons to move left and right. On arcade versions, you can cycle through the games the characters made their debut in with the green buttons, at least on the latest arcade games.

Anyone played on the Dumpster Arcade controller? If I got the game that's probably the controller I'd get. $200 and shipping for a home made arcade replica sounds pretty good. Also, I really don't want to read 50 pages, but what's the best mix for a beginner? Do the PS2 versions have most of the songs from the PS1 versions? I'm really looking at 8 9 and 10, cause they're cheap. I haven't modded my PS2, and I know this is OT, but whats the easiest way to go about this, ina few words? Does a modded PS2 play Jap. PS1 games?

lol I forgot most of the Francais I learned in high school.

To answer the post above; out of the PoMu that I own (9, 10, 11, and recently 1 and 3) go with PoMu 9. IIRC, its songlist on regular 9 button (i.e. no hyper or EX) doesn't go above lvl 24. At least for all the songs that I unlocked for it. The last question I can't really answer since I went the safe route and bought myself a JPN PS2 for cheap. It's less headaches for me that way!

One sticky thread on the "Console DDR" forum (I don't remember the name of the thread but it can be found easily) has a list of websites where you can order one but be prepared to shell out the dough for it 'cause they're not as cheap as the domestic ones. The cheapest one I found was for $250 for the slimline, white one (the black slimeline is $20 more for some reason erm.gif ). Mines was used and bought from a game store that sells imports. Didn't pay much, got a free "to see if it works" game (Parappa 2), and still works fine!

As for the hobby comment, I want to be the first to say welcome to our world! Next thing you know, you'll be studying Japanese and importing other Japanese games from eBay!

Heres what pop n music 14 Fever looks like.

http://www.konami.jp/am/location_test/popn14/index.html

I guess the theme here is "hip".

The interface reminds me of pop n 6's interface. Colors everywhere. At least the colors in 14 are orginazed unlike the song select menu in pop n 6.

Looks nice, but pop n 13's graphics look better imo. I do like the colors around the menu's though.
