Many people in this forum say that Vertex on expert does not deserve to be a 12. Even though myself I cannot do it on Expert I have noticed that Vertex IS a 11. After tring to do it in pratice mode, I hit start then went to step information. After seeing what it say I saw that it had a Predicted Meter. The meter said 11.39 which is a 11. This wasn't even close to a 12, and wondered, why did they round up? If you have some rounding skills you would know that 11.39 does round to 11 not 12. Eather RoXor has some really stupid people or they are made up of many 1st graders. We love your math skills RoXor thumb.gif ! Go take 2nd grade again...

I dont think the meter means anything pandemonium expert predicted meter is only like 10.3

anyway I agree tho it shouldnt be a 12 infact I find it easiest of all the 11s too.

It's a 12 probably because of the speed up and the challenge in reading the mines.

Speed changes + mines everywhere = 12

Not to mention it's fast

True, it has lots of mines. True, it has speed changes including the 612 BPM section.

However, 612 BPM isn't too terribly hard to read in ITG (it is in DDR), the actual patterns themselves aren't very technical, ESPECIALLY compared to 12's, and other than a few 16th note spurts near the beginning, the steps don't really go over 612 arrows per minute (Arrows per minute is the best way to calculate speed if you think about it.)

I can only beat 4 ITG 11's (Charlene, Infection, Utopia, Pandemonium (Hard)) and I've beaten Vertex. Granted, I could probably beat more 11's because I've only ever tried 5 (whoever said July is easy is a liar) but I can't beat ANY other 12's. Even Delirium. Why is Vertex possible for me then?

Because whether people want to believe it or not, whether they want to just mindlessly accept Roxor's rating, whether they think I don't know what I'm talking about, Vertex should be an 11.

My thinking was that it was a 12 because when ITG first came out, people weren't accustomed to playing with mines, and so while it's initially pretty tough to deal with omg mine rush kekeke, their difficulty in the long run might have been overestimated.

Mines were what killed me when ITG first came out. Same with hands.

That's why I failed both Vertex and QoL but was able to pass Hardcore of the North :| I thought it was the Hardest 12 at that point since I couldn't do the first mine section. Once I actually got it, I failed near the end cause I went on something like 2x.

Funny this, I passed EVERY ITG1 12 sightread except Vertex the day it came out. Stupid mines and speed-up. Vertex more than deserves it's 12 foot rating.

VerTex is easy. It was my first 12. Then again, I am a speed reader. I first tried it on 2x and failed at the end with a 8X.XX. I then played it on 1.5x to pass it and my score on that was 7X.XX. Yeah, low speeds suck for me.

612 arrows per minute is by no means slow, HOWEVER, I was comparing it to other hard songs.

Even MaxX Unlimited has a few runs at 640 arrows per minute, LoM has a death run at 666, Anubis has 880 APM spurts, Euphoria has unbelieveably stupid 1120 arrow per minute spurts. And while yes, Vertex has a few steps adding up to 1000 arrows per minute (handful of 16th near the beginning) its overall streams aren't too terribly bad. Even Delirium, which is supposedly an easy 12, wtfpwns Vertex's streams.

The numbers aren't my opinions, the whole pwning thing is, but a lot of people share that opinion with me.

(Oh, and correct if I'm wrong, but isn't the fastest blurb in ITG Tension Experts 32nd note trill things which clock in at a whopping 1480? I could be wrong that its the fastest, but I do know that those little blurbs exist in the stepchart.)

I love your spelling skills and abilities to construct a logical argument.

Vertex is a 12.

Same

except I didn't play Euphoria. I passed Delirium, Tell, and Hardcore of the North before it though. Never really tried Euphoria til way later, but I passed it on a sightread. VerTex took me several tries.

As of ITG2, ITG foot ratings for 11+ foot songs are messed up.

Charlene, Xuxa, Summer Speedy Mix, Vertex are all rated too high.
Hardcore Symphony, Bloodrush, Vertex^2, Monolith are all rated too low.

(I'm not implying these songs should have different ratings entirely, but rather the difficulty range of an x-foot song is very broad).

I think Summer Speedy Mix, Hardcore Symphony, and Vertex^2 are fine where they are. As for the others, yes, I agree.

Charlene, yes. MAYBE Xuxa, but it works as an 11. Vertex, yes.

Summer Speedy mix? HELL NO! The end of Summer is the hardest stream yet IMO. It's evil. Most of Summer is like a hard 11 or an easy 12, but the end is definitely 13 material.

As for Vertex^2 being rated too low...well...we don't even know what a 14 is like yet. Why don't we flesh out 13's until then, so its perfect where it is.
