PIU on a USB adapter

I just ordered a USB adapter that allows me to hook my playstation stuff up to my computer. I'm worried, because it said for a dance mat to press some combonation of Start-Select-Left, or something like that.

But my PIU Exceed pad doesn't have a start OR select button!

it's usually start+select+up for 4 seconds.

You can just plug in a normal PS2 controller, press the combo, and switch over to the pad. A pain, but it works.
